Will was currently in his bedroom, alone, staring at an empty can of soda.
He had told El he was too tired to continue on practicing that night, but in reality, he was simply too anxious about it.
He couldn't have her staring at him if he was going to practice.. at least not for the first couple tries. He wanted to have better control first.. just a little bit, even.
After a few minutes of straining himself, he gets the soda can to move across the whole top of his dresser from left to right, and he feels accomplished.
Though, it did stop on and off and was very slow in speed, he was still very proud of it. It was a start. At least everything else in his room was intact.
He blushes as he realises he sort of left Mike hanging earlier, leaving his home to go meet with El, and that he should probably at least say hello.
He wipes his nose, and decides to call Mike in the basement instead of use the walkie - talkie. He liked listening to Mike's voice as best he could, and he knew he could do that better on the phone than with the muffled static of the other device.
He gets up and walks to the phone, ignoring his mom who was currently in the living room watching a cooking show.
He grasps the phone, dialling Mike's number and slowly retreating back into his room and closing the door gently on the spiral cord as he pulls it to the roll-y chair that he had implemented into his room solely for the reason of comfort while phone calling.
He waits as it dials, and he hears it ring for a few moments. It picks up, and he hears Mrs. Wheeler on the other end of the connection.
"Hello?"
"Hi Mrs. Wheeler, uh, could you put Mike on the phone?"
"Oh, Hi Will! Yeah, sure," He hears shuffling. "Mike! It's for you!"
Mike picks up the phone in the basement. "Hello?"
Will let's out a breath and smiles. "Hi Mike, did you hear about the new Dungeons and Dragons character?" He says softly. They hear the click of Mike's mom putting the phone down, clearly un - interested in even pretending to snoop on their convo now.
He starts giggling, "I'm joking. Just wanted to ward off your mom.. so.. uhmm.. what's up?"
"Nothing really. Just sitting in my basement bored and alone. Worrying about if my boyfriend is alive or not. The usual." Mike's tone of voice is practically drowning with sarcasm.
Will feels his face heat up and he starts giggling some more. "Oh my god? What? Mike, what happened?"
"I called like, a bajillion times. Jonathan picked up and said he didn't know where you were at. I thought you like, succumbed to your injuries in the middle of the woods or something. I was so sad."
"Sad? Nooo.. Mike! I'm okay, I swear. It just stings a little. I won't die."
"Hm. I don't believe that. Did you see the size of it? Jesus! I wanna punch Troy so bad. I'm still mad at you."
"You're mad at me?!"
"Yes."
"Awwwhhhh.."

Mike tries not to let Will hear his giggle on the other end of the phone as he pretends to be mad at him.
It's really hard not to laugh out loud especially as he can practically hear Will's pout through the phone.
