The black fades out to white as a light hits Will's eyes, and he flutters his eyelids open as a sharp pain hits his head.

He looks around, taking note of the familiar room which he'd often come to practice his abilities in.

"Eleven?" Will calls out softly from her bed, and she sits by his side.

"Will.. Are you okay? Did you.. did you.. close it?" She says gently to him,

"Huh?" He replies, his head pounding.

"You're.. you.. I saw you closing a gate. To the upside down..? You know..? You don't remember?"

He blinks at her slowly as the memories come back to him and he gasps and sits up, holding his head. "I did! I closed it! How did you.. know about that?"

"Well.." She looks away for a moment and back at him as she thinks of words. "I.. felt different.. I.. felt like there was a gate.. But I knew I had closed it already.. so.. I tried locating it with my mind," She taps the side of her head twice with her pointer finger to make a point.

She continues on, "And.. Well.. When I did that.. I didn't just see the gate. I saw.. you. And you were.. closing it already."

He blushes and averts eye contact with her. "Oh. Yeah.. uhh.. sorry."

He has no need to apologise, but she immediately understands why he is. He shouldn't have closed the gate by himself. "It's okay."

He nods slowly.

"Can you still.. do you still have your powers?"

"I don't know," He says quietly. "I blanked out." He blushes as he tells her about how he collapsed afterwards, which most likely was a bad indication.

"I know," She frowns a bit at him. "I found you, that's why you're here. I really didn't want to leave you by the gate."

"Ah." He says softly. "Thank you,"

"Of course."

Suddenly, Eleven's walkie - talkie goes off and they look at each other quickly and back at it.

"Will, do you copy? Will, come in, do you copy?"

"..Mike?" Eleven says, before giggling. "Will, he really does like you, huh? He can't stay away for more than an hour."

Will blushes as she picks up the walkie - talkie, he is currently too tired to get up and go to it anyways.

"This is El, I copy. Will is here. What's wrong? Over."

"Oh thank god," Mike says, "Will can you hear me? You never called me!"

Will feels his face flush of all the color as El passes him the walkie - talkie and he holds down the transmitter on the side.

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep.."

"Where? Why are you with El again?"

"I.. There was another gate. I stumbled across it. That's why, okay? But it's gone now, don't worry about it!"

He can hear Mike sigh on the other end, and he gets a bit annoyed as Mike doesn't even have to hold the button to let him be able to hear him sigh, he was just being extra.

"Another gate? Why didn't you call a code - red?!"

"Because, Mike! Maybe you didn't hear me but I didn't have my walkie - talkie, I got kicked out!"

"But you told me you were going back home..?"

Will pauses and swallows as he feels regret overwhelming him for lying to Mike.
