Y/n's pov

I felt something drag me to the ground something heavier than gravity itself. Norman shook as he clung onto me for dear life every cell in my body felt like it was on fire. Norman rambled whispers that I couldn't even comprehend but as I looked up in my blurred haze I saw Ray tug at his shirt like the actual clothing was suffocating him. He clawed at his hair as he fell onto the ground against a tree as tears fell so quickly from his face as I saw his emerald green eyes gloss over staring back at me as if he thought it was the last time he would ever see me.

"Right let's all go up to the house I trust there won't be any more problems mhm?" Isabella said holding onto a distressed Emma in her arms and carrying her off towards the house. Gilda and Don were frozen where they stood not sure which one of the core four to comfort first.

"Hey...we'll get through this ok? together" I tried to sound encouraging toward my brother as I saw his soft features scrunch up as he spluttered out cries. I swallowed my hiccups and shakily pulled a smile s I felt all my limbs shake. I pealed away from his tight hold and made him face me, his eyes seemed soulless and his gaze never met mine. "I'm going to need you to be strong ok? can you do that?" I asked placing my hands on each side of his cheeks. I watched as his droopy expression made a small smile and nod as he blinked away his tears and stood up slowly walking to where Isabela had took Emma. He stumbled as he walked and Gilda and Don quickly caught him helping him walk the rest of the way.

It was only when Norman was gone I completely let myself break as I couldn't stop crying my tears fell as quickly as they formed and I couldn't control the aching sobs that croaked from my throat.

"Y/n...I'll fix this" Ray said almost sounding like he was trying to convince himself more than me and for the first time in my life I didn't fully believe him. I nodded trying my best to stand up but even my legs were wobbly and Ray seemed to notice and quickly hurried over to me and tried to calm me down shushing me as he gently brushed his nose against mine and cupping behind my head cradling me. "Shhh I won't let them get you" He whispered.

3rd person pov

Y/n rested her body against Ray's chest as she sat on his lap on the chair beside Emma's bed, she had a cast on and was on some pain killers which made her a little tired as Norman paced back and forth anxiously trying to come up with a plan. Y/n softly traced the lines on Ray's palms to distract herself on what was to come tomorrow whilst Ray rested his head back with Y/n laying tiredly against his chest with her back resting against his chest. There was no way they could possibly get any closer. The raven found himself rubbing her arms feeling the tension in her muscles fade away.

"We'll do something anything" Emma said looking at the defeated twins in pity. Ray sighed as he kissed Y/n's temple softly and burried his head in her neck sighing. Norman noticed the action and smiled knowing the two had finally confessed their feelings. He felt sad however that time wasn't in their favour. He looked over the ginger who was struggling to get comfortable in her bed he knew how much he cared for her but he knew he could never tell her...not now...
