She feels the magic when she's up there
Form glitter, fire, perfection. Whether it was on the field, on the gym floor, it could be everywhere.
She took cheerleading very serious, it was her escape, her way to cope with things.
It was there in that moment, when she closed her eyes and felt the air while spining around up there. She swore it was magical.
It felted magic. Like anything was now possible.
People always admire football players, because they do great tricks on the field. But while football players lift weights, cheerleaders lift athletes.
And that was what made Mia belive that she could be as admired as they are!
Mia was with her friends by one of the entrances to the school. With her was Jess leaning against the glass window next to the door, Sheri that was leaning against the glass door. Zach right next to Sheri, and two boys coming their direction- justin and Bryce.
"No, so now she's trying to punish me by giving all of my stunts to this 80-pound freshman." Jess said, trying to sound unbored by the coach's actions "Go ahead. You really think that she can lift Melanie Opstad's fat ass into pyramid formation?"
Mia and Sheri shared a look, both girls annoyed at Jess conversation.
" You are right Jess." Mia started, Jess looked at the girl and smiled " Next time I tell coach to just put you as sub" Jessica rolled her eyes at Mia's comment, but on the other side Sheri shared a amused smile.
" She's fucking fat!" Jess laughs." Really, good luck!"
"Your coach is such a bitch." Bryce says approaching the group with Jess agrreding with him.
" She's actually cool as long as people show up to practice." Sheri defends her coach.
" She is right Jess, if you can't take cheer seriously, maybe it's time to quite" Said the blonde girl of the group of teens.
"Oh! Oh!" Said the boys after Mia's response.
"It's cheerleading, it's not saving lives, Mia!" Said Jess once again unbored.
" Well, in other people cases, it's their dream and only way to get out of this town" Mia said it low.
" Anyone down for a little pick-me-up?" Asked Jess, ignoring everything her friend said.
"Unbelievable" Muttered the cheer caption.
Jess took a sip of her bottle and right after swallowed the drink that was inside, she made a disgusted face. Justin picked the bottle from Jessica's hands and smelled the inside, him as well made a disgusted face.
"Is this vodka?" He asked low. Mia kept looking between Justin and Jessica, something was up with her " Since when do you drink at school?"
"Since when do you ever turn down a drink?" Asked Bryce pushing his friend on the shoulder and taking the bottle that contained the alcoholic beverage from Jessica's hand.
