And that's how love works

Sonic quiets down to the point he can hear Shadow snoring loudly

WHAT HUH- oh- yeah, sorry I was listening, yeah no I felt that before like, the chest thing and the butterflies I'm very familiar I just never knew what the feeling was called or what it meant

[Sonic]
WHAT?!

Shadow jumps at the shout

YOU'VE FELT THAT WAY ABOUT SOMEONE BEFORE

Sonic's eyes light up like fireworks

Dude it doesn't matter they probably don't like me back so I'm just gonna drop it

Sonic gets up and walks over to Shadow

He grabs his shoulders and pushes him back into the couch staring with wide eyes into his soul

[Shadow's Thoughts]
What the fuck your eyes are beautiful and green, strong green and very beautiful, and you're also very close this is uncomfortable yet I don't want it to end and I think my face is getting red shit

Don't you dare fucking give up

[Shadow's Thoughts]
And you ruined it dummy

Sonic pushes him into the couch more getting even closer as the space he can push him runs out

Shadow starts to heat up more

So, you still wanna go out?

Where to?

I don't know any public places, I only know the places I need to go for work or places I've been

Damn, well there's a restaurant across the park, it's the closest thing and they serve all types of things there if you wanna go there

[Shadow]
Sure

[Sonic]
Also, do you mind if I invite Tails? you could bring someone along too if you want

[Shadow]
Oh sure, I'll invite...

[Shadow's Thoughts]
Fuck I don't want him to think I'm a lonely bastard with no friends or social life

[Shadow]
I'll invite Rouge

SERIOUSLY? ROUGE? dude you could've picked anybody else why someone from work, ugh whatever, I'll explain the situation to her over text

[Sonic]
Alright, just tell her to meet us at the restaurant, we'll go and get a seat early so she doesn't have to wait with us

[Shadow]

[Sonic's Thoughts]
AHAH, so he likes Rouge, why else would he pick her to invite over anybody else, time to play matchmaker, I'll get Tails involved and explain the situation over text
