It wasn't often that Adrien Agreste checked his social media because he didn't have too much interest in it, but when he did, it all ended up being the same.
Adrien couldn't remember taking half these pictures. It wasn't even his decision on what got uploaded. All these people following practically a robot didn't make sense. All the attention wasn't great either.
All the focus was on his looks. These people didn't know him. They don't know what his favorite game was or what shows he liked to watch. They didn't hang out with him on Fridays and ask him how his week was. No one did.
Memories flooded in of all the times Adrien had been swarmed around by crowds of people or had people come to his school. The Gabriel brands had to put out a public statement about that one. The feeling of being watched when he went anywhere. You never know when someone could be taking pictures of you.
Why were people so obsessed? He wasn't all that interesting. They were all just falling for a 14-year scheme. They were all allowing themselves to be used by his father's brand. Adrien was nothing but a tool and one that worked well.
"Adrien, are you coming?" Nathalie asked holding his room door open.
"Yeah sorry."
