July 2
By the new world, the moon is orbiting peacefully in space. On it is the American flag, and the Apollo 11, where men first landed on the moon. On a rock, a tablet left by the astronauts is on it. It's from Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, Edwin E. Aldrin Jr., and Richard Nixon. It has their names on it, along with pictures of earth on it. On it has words. It says, "Here men from the planet earth first set foot upon the moon July 1969, A.D. We came in peace for all mankind." On the ground of the moon, footprints from the astronauts are still on the ground. But then, rumbling is heard, and sand and gravel start pilling on the footprints. And then, a shadow starts engulfing the moon, blocking the light on the surface. Then, earth comes in view. Then, the rumbling increases, and suddenly, a huge metal object comes in view, flying towards the earth. Meanwhile, on the Gummi Ship, it's over the earth. Inside, the heroes are all sleeping. Except for Odd. He's on a seat, listening to his music as his dog Kiwi is sleeping by his feet. He's listening to, "It's the end of the world as we know it". He's nodding his head as he listens to it. Jeremy and Aelita are both sleeping together. Jeremy is sleeping on his seat, and Aelita is sleeping by him as she lays her head on his shoulder. Just then, beeping noise is heard. It wakes up Jeremy and Aelita. Odd hears it, and pauses his music. They all look, and see it's one of the scanners.
Jeremy: Huh?
He gets up, and runs over to it. He turns it on, and loud static is heard. His eyes widen, sees it's an unknown signal.
Jeremy: Aelita, get the others! They need to hear this!
Aelita nods, and she runs off to get the others. Odd runs to call Yumi and Ulrich. In a room, Ulrich's cell phone rings. He groans as he's sleeping by Yumi. He picks his phone, and answers it. Yumi also wakes up.
Ulrich: Odd, what is it? It's too early to wake up.
Odd on phone: Ulrich, I think you should listen to this. We just detected something.
They both listen as Odd puts it on speaker, and they both hear the loud static on the phone. They both have frown looks on their faces as they listen to it. Ulrich sits up to get up, but he hits his head on the bottom bunk by accident. He groans in pain as he clutches his head. Yumi checks him as he lays down. She helps him up, and they both walk out of the room. Everyone gathers in the control room.
Sora: What's going on?
Donald: This better not be a darn Heartless job.
Ren: I don't think so. The scanners tracking the earth is saying the skies are clear.
Jeremy: Guys, I think it's the real thing. A radio signal from another world.
Riku: Oh, man. This better not be another dangerous alien attack. Last time was bad enough.
Donald: Let--Let's not jump the gun here. Sae, get online with Space Command on earth. We need to see what they know so far.
Then, Kiwi barks loudly, making Donald jump in fear. Odd chuckles at this.
Donald: Jeez, what's the dog? It's bad enough we got Zwei here, now we got two dogs. They're gonna kill me here.
Sae: Whoa. Whoa. Wait. This can't be right.
Everyone looks at what she's tracking. She's getting a strange reading.
Sae: The calculated distance from source is only 375, 000 kilometers. It's coming from the moon.
Everyone sees that the signal is coming from the moon. Sora and Jeremy turn up the volume, and the static is heard on the ship. Everyone looks at it, and wonders what kind of signal is it. Meanwhile, down on earth, and in Washington D.C., it is morning time, and the statue of world war 1 stands.
Space Command, the Pentagon
In the Pentagon, two General officers, and a Lieutenant officer are walking down the hallway to go to Space Command.
General: Who else knows about this?
Lieutenant: Well, General Grey, S.E.T.I. in New Mexico identified a signal.
General 2: (Types in the code) But, uh, they're even more confused than we are, sir.
General Grey looks at him as he waits for him to open the door.
General 2: Excuse me.
He opens the door for him, and he walks in first. The general and Lieutenant follows him. Officers are working on monitors while some are walking while reading papers.
General 2: Major?
Major: Yes, sir.
The major walks over as they walk to others to a lighting table.
Lieutenant: Sir, radar reception has beem impaired, but we were able to get these.
The major lays out a picture with red markings on it, showing that something is just orbiting in outer space by the moon.
General 2: And we estimate that it has a diameter of over 550 kilometers and a mass roughly 1/4 the size of our moon.
General Grey: What the heck is it? A meteor?
General 2: No, sir.
Major: No. Definitely not.
General Grey: (Looks at him) How do you know?
Major: Well, sir, it's...slowing down.
General Grey: It's what?
Major: It's, uh... It's slowing down, sir.
Lieutenant: He's right, sir. Meteors don't slow down. (Looks at Grey) Sir, I think we should inform the President and the Secretary of Defense.
He agrees of what the Lieutenant says. He walks to a phone, and picks it up. He pushes a button, and it rings. Someone answers it.
Grey: Get me the Secretary of Defense. (Listens) Then wake him!
The Lieutenant watches him as he turns back to look at the picture. He wonders what this thing is. He sighs, and walks to do some paperwork. Back in space, the Gummi Ship is still flying over the earth. They're trying to track the signal. Kai and Momo look outside, and they can see anything. Then, they spot a satellite flying in the distance. They follow its direction, and they both frown as they see something big coming in front of the satellite. They can't see what it is, but it's big. Then, the satellite crashes into it, and it explodes on impact. The couple is shocked to see this. They rush to go tell their friends about this. What is going on, and what is happening now?
