Kingdom Hearts: Independence Day

Chapter 14

Back in the ruins of L.A., Jasmine is leading everyone through the ruins. So, they only found two survivors. As they walk, they suddenly spot something behind debris and in mostly intact building. A big red pickup truck. 

Ulrich: Hey, let's see if that works.

Jasmine: (Agrees, looks at Dylan) Baby, stay right here. Stay right here with Boomer and Brand.

She and Ulrich rush over to the truck while everyone else waits. They see it's not destroyed. They open the doors to get inside. Boomer is eating some dirty food off the ground, while Dylan found some toys to play with. Velvet giggles at this. Brand pats Dylan's shoulder. In the truck, Jasmine and Ulrich look for the keys to the truck.

Ulrich: I don't see the keys. 

Jasmine: Keys. Come on. Keys. (Finds them) Yes! 

Ulrich: I just hope it still works.

Jasmine: Me too. (Puts the keys in the ignition) Come on, baby. Come on. 

She turns the keys in the ignition, and the engine starts, meaning the truck still works.

Both: Yes! 

Ulrich: Come on, guys! Let's get out of here! 

Ulrich gets out to let Dylan ride with his mom. Jasmine pulls out to let people have room in the back to climb on. Brand helps Dylan in first, and he climbs in. Boomer jumps in. Brand then turns on the radio, to see if it still works too. Then, the news report comes on.

Radio: Reports indicate that this battle has repeated itself all over the world with the exact same results. 

Brand looks at Jasmine, who looks at him. She turns off the radio, not wanting him to hear more. After the heroes get the survivors in the back of the truck, they climb on, and Jasmine drives off into the ruins. They're gonna look for more survivors on the way before moving on out of the ruins. Meanwhile, back on Air Force One, Jill is sitting with her father and grandfather. David gets a bag ready, because he's getting air-sick. He's groaning as he opens the bag. 

Julius: It's Air Force One, for crying out loud. Still he gets sick. 

Jill: Grandpa, no matter what plane it is, you can still get air-sick. 

David: Oh, boy. I don't feel so good. 

Jill: Dad, take slow breaths, and remain calm. 

Julius: Look at me, huh? Like a rock. Could be bad weather, could be good weather. It doesn't matter. We could go up. We could go down. We can go back. We can go forward. We can go side to side--

Suddenly, David feels it, and runs off to find a bathroom. Jill and Julius watch him. 

Jill: Good going, grandpa. 

Julius: What'd I say? 

He runs past Connie, who watches him leave. She sits by Julius. 

Connie: He still gets airsick, huh?

Julius: Yeah. 

Connie: (Looks at him) Julius, with all of this, I, uh...I didn't get a chance to thank you three. 

Julius: (Smiles, looks at her) All they could think of was getting to you. 

Jill looks away, not wanting her mom seeing her blushing with a smile. Connie is smiling, hearing that her ex-husband and daughter wanted to save her. Julius sees her look. 

Julius: There's still love there, I think. 

Connie: Love was never our problem. 

Julius: "All you need is love." John Lennon. Smart man. Shot in the back. Very sad.
