In Washington D.C., and in the White House, the lieutenant is walking down the hall, heading for the president's room. He opens the door, and walks in. He salutes to the general and the president. In the room with them is the vice president, another general and the secretary of defense.

General Grey: At ease, Lieutenant Hiller.

Hiller: Sir, we got word that the object in space, it stopped between the earth and the moon. And it's still in the same position, sir.

General Grey: Good work, son.

Vice president: At the moment, our satellites are somewhat unrealiable. Isn't it possible that this thing may just pass us by?

Secretary of Defense: What if it doesn't "pass us by"? Let's retarget some ICBMs to blow it outta the sky.

Hiller: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Mr. Nimzicki, that's a dangerous plan. We can't risk that.

Grey: He's right. And risk turning one dangerous falling object into many?

President: We don't yet know enough about what we're dealing with to make any kind of intelligent judgments.

Just then, a woman comes into the room. Her name is Constance Spano, the White House Communications Director.

Constance: Luckily, the press is making up their own story at this point. But that's not gonna keep.

President: We may need to upgrade to Defcon Three.

Nimzicki: Absolutely. General, contact NORAD. You tell them we've upgraded to Defcon three.

Grey: That's not what the president said.

Constance: (To president) That's a little premature.

President: I don't think so.

Vice president: We have more than 50% of the armed forces out on weekend leave, not to mention the commanders and troops that are in town for the 4th of July parade.

Hiller: Yeah, and my brother, Captain Hiller is also on leave too. And my son with him too.

Just then, two higher officers come into the room, and they have something.

President: Go ahead, commander.

Commander: Our intelligence tells us the object has settled into a stationary orbit like the lieutenant said.

Nimzicki: Well, that's good news.

Commander: Uh, not really, sir.

The other officer opens up the case, and it shows the picture of the object in red markings. And it also shows small pieces flying away from it.

Commander: Part of it has broken off into nearly three dozen other pieces...smaller than the whole, sir, yet over 15 in width themselves.

Everyone looks at the picture, and sees the small pieces moving away from the larger piece.

Nimzicki: (To Commander) Where are they heading?

Commander: They should be entering our atomosphere within the next 25 minutes.

Everyone looks at him, and looks at the president. He moves away, and thinks for a moment. He looks at them.

President: Take us to Defcon three.

Hiller: Yes, sir.

Hiller takes the phone, and contacts NORAD to tell them. Meanwhile, back in New York, Jill comes back from the bathroom. She walks back into her dad's office just as he takes his food out of the mircowave. Then, Marty comes into the room.

Marty: Please tell me we're getting somewhere.

David: Oh, there's good news, and there's bad news.

Marty: alright, what's the bad news?

David: The bad news is that you're in meal penalty for disturbing my lunch.

Jill: Ha ha. Nice one, dad.

Marty: And the good news is you're not gonna charge me.

David: Uh, no. That good news is that I've found the problem. It's not our equipment. There's some kinda weird signal embedded in the satellite feed.

Marty: And that's the good news?

David: Yeah, 'cause this signal has a definite sequential pattern, so as soon as I find the exact binary sequence, then I can calculate the phase reversal with that analyzer I built you for your birthday and apply it, we should be able to block it out completely.

Marty: And then we'll be the only guys in town with a clear picture?! Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh, David, that's why I love you!

Marty just kisses him on the lips, and walks out of the room. Jill sees this, and laughs.

David: I know. That's unnecessary. You're too kind.

Jill hugs her dad, and they both smile at each other. They both go to their seats. But little do they know, the signal is the start of something bad.

Here's the fourth chapter of Kingdom Hearts: Independence Day. Looks like the military has gotten wind of the object releasing the pieces. And David has discovered a signal in the satellite feed. And as for his daughter, I'm trying to think of someone to play as her. It's gonna be a young actress from the 1990s. If you all can think of one for me, let me know, and see if it will be a teenaged girl. And sorry for the short chapter. Let me know what you all think of the chapter. Vote, review, and comment. Thank you.
