"You're back earlier than I expected." Andy said as she saw Maya walk back in Vic's room.

"The person I went to see is resting, so I shall go back later." Maya said nonchalantly.

Andy squinted, making Maya laugh a little.

"Tell me something about her." Andy said calmly as she placed her hand on Maya's.

Maya let out a sigh. "Her name's Carina. She's Italian." Andy wiggled her eyebrows at that revelation. Maya just dismissed that and continued speaking.

"She-she went through an accident. And she's-well she's suffering from Amnesia. From what I know, she doesn't remember the past five years of her life." Maya said looking at the floor, unable to maintain an eye contact with Andy. However, Andy still gave her a sympathetic look, not knowing what to say.

"She's beautiful, Andy. But-but she looks so helpless sometimes. She tries to put on a strong front, but there have been instances, in like only a few days of knowing her, there have been instances where she just breaks down completely.
Today I saw her 'husband' and another man, who I'm assuming is her brother, fight." She paused and sighed, remembering that weird occurrence.

"I don't know, Andy. I just-I wish this one was awake, she's pretty good with words." Maya said pointing towards Vic.

"Are you implying that I'm not?" Andy said faking a shocked expression. Maya just laughed at her antics.

The sisters spent some time sitting by Vic's side. Vic had turned 31 today. She was always big on birthdays, whether it was her own birthday or someone else's. It pained Maya and Andy that this birthday was unlike any other. Though they had decided that they'd do everything in their power to make it special.

Maya and Andy were pulled out of their thoughts when they heard a slight knock on the door.

"Hey- oh I'm sorry for interrupting." Jo said shyly.

"Hey no, come in Jo, or should I say Grinch?" Maya said and laughed, making Jo laugh.

"No please, I think Carina's enough. I don't need more people calling me Grinch."

"Anyway, I'm here to tell you that she's awake, if you wanna go see her sometime soon. I was just grabbing her medicines so I though I'd let you know on the way." Jo said with a smile.

"Oh okay. Then I shall drop by in a few minutes." Maya said, with the biggest smile plastered on her face, which Andy noticed.

As Jo left, Andy gave Maya a slight smirk. Maya squinted, almost dismissing Andy's smirk as she got up to grab the cake for Carina.

"Can you pass my wallet, I might just buy her a coffee from the cafeteria, I think she'd need it." Maya said moving around the room.

Andy smiled and passed the wallet to Maya, not questioning it. She was happy to see Maya this way.

As Maya walked out of Vic's room, she was sweating profusely, though she had no idea why. All she wanted was to be able to see Carina, but she couldn't comprehend why. So she just gathered her thoughts and shoved them in the back of her head and went and bought Carina a double espresso.

"How are you feeling now?" Jo asked with a sympathetic smile on her face.

"Better. Hm." Stefania said as she took one of the medicines. Her actions were followed by a knock on the door which made Jo smile a little.
