After much convincing, Carina had agreed to Maya's plea of wanting to have dinner with rest of Carina's friends. Maya too, had the sudden urge to celebrate Vic's awakening. So she decided she'd spend the whole day with Vic and then celebrate at night.
They had decided to meet at a bar quite close to Amelia and Jo's place. Carina had dressed up in her black playsuit, though the nerves were killing her. She was going to see Maya Bishop. And the rest of her friends that she had chosen to not see for a while.
As she entered the bar, she immediately noticed the big round table that her people had occupied, as they patiently waited for her to show up. Though very nervous, her eyes immediately met with Maya's and they both gave each other the warmest of smiles.
"Carina!! Come here." Teddy said as the rest of the group spotted her as well. They all gave her the biggest hug, quite the opposite of how she expected them to welcome her.
"Hi! I'm Andy. Maya's sister." Andy said as she extended her hand which Carina shook quite pleasingly. Though she was actually quite afraid of Andy, knowing that she might be aware of what went down between Maya and her.
"What are you drinking?" Jo asked, her words quite slurred as she had already drowned herself in whiskey.
"I'll just have some white wine." Carina said making the whole group groan.
"Absolutely not. You're drinking whiskey. We're getting shitfaced today." Amelia said and got up to get Carina a drink. The brunette had made the effort to sit next to Maya, making them both feel things.
"How are you?" Maya asked discreetly as the rest were indulged in random conversations.
"I've been better." Carina replied honestly, receiving an understanding smile from Maya. As Amelia came back with more drinks, they fell into random conversations again. Carina had been worried about how she could approach them, but they weren't making anything weird for her, for which she was grateful.
Maya was visibly pink at this point. The alcohol had clearly gotten to her and this was the cutest she had ever looked....carina thought .
"You're okay?" Carina whispered in Maya's ears, sending shivers down the blonde's body.
"Yeah I'm...I'm fine." Maya managed to respond.
"Carina how's your husband?" The duo were pulled out of their trance as a very drunk Jo had asked a very stupid question.
"He-he's fine." Carina said, not being able to look at anyone. Amelia and Teddy had given Jo the biggest glare, making her instantly regret it.
Anything Aldo related managed to get Carina exhausted. She immediately drowned her glass of whiskey and then got herself another one. Just the very thought that she was going back to him by the end of the night was foolish. It was almost embarrassing.
"Woah!!! Slow down there." Maya said to Carina, though in the process she spilled her own drink.
"I'm not one who needs to slow down." Carina smirked.
"STOP FLIRTING." A very drunk Jo commented from across the table making everyone except for Maya and Carina laugh.
Maya looked at Carina and Carina looked at Maya. Their cheeks were pink because of how much they were blushing due to comment that was made.
Were they flirting? Was the question they both were asking themselves in their head. More than that, did they still have to right to flirt with each other?
"I knew I'd find you with them, time to go home." They were pulled out of their thoughts when they heard a man say that with his raised voice.
The whole group turned to find Aldo stand there, his cheeks red as well, but not from blushing.
