Amelia Shephard had just walked through the doors and looking at her best friend almost made her cry. "Car, it's so good to see you." She whispered."Ms. Shephard, I hope you're aware she probably doesn't remember you." Dr. Mark said bringing Amelia back to life. "yeah, Yeah I know." Amelia shrugged and walked towards Carina.
Carina was just carefully looking her. The woman looked so familiar yet someone she didn't recognise. But she felt a comfort radiate, a sort of comfort neither Aldo nor Andrea had radiated. Before Carina had even realised, there was a tear slipping out of her eye.
"Hey Car, shh, don't cry." Amelia said as she stroked the Italian's arms gently.
"Can-can I hug you?" Carina carefully said, while sobbing.
Amelia had the biggest smile, with tears forming in her eyes as well. "Yes of course,Car." She said and then hugged Carina gently, however Carina really tightened the hug, feeling quite comfortable in her best friend's arms.
Dr. Mark and Jo witnessed the scene and smiled with hope.
"Carina, do you remember Ms. Shepherd." Mark asked hopefully.
"Not really, but I can sense some familiarity." She said with a slight smile.
"Well that's more than enough." He smiled and said.
Between this conversation, Amelia's eyes had found Jo's. They looked at each other and gave each other a knowing smile.
Mark and Jo then left the room for Carina and Amelia to talk. Mark wanted to see if Carina was comfortable enough to live with Amelia or she still had some reservations. But little did they know that Carina was already ready to leave, now that they had met. She couldn't quite place a finger on anything, but she knew Amelia was her friend. Their whole equation was a blur to her but she knew she'd be safe with her.
Later that day, Mark had come to visit Carina, giving and taking information to make the discharge report.
"So you're sure you'll go home with Amelia?" He asked and Carina nodded yes right away.
"Well then, I will inform Aldo, though I'm assuming that won't be a breezy task, but we'll take care of it. We'll inform Andrea too. They can meet you, but you'll have to regulate that. I'll speak to Amelia tomorrow as well, so she can really control this situation. You can do whatever you want, but remember, getting that memory of yours back should be you number 1 priority. Alright?" He explained and questioned.
"Yes." Carina said with a smile.
It was funny though, there was so much going on, but all Carina could about, or rather who Carina was thinking about right now, was a certain blonde. She didn't know what it was about this Maya Bishop, but she was invested. She was truly, deeply invested.

"Hey!" Emmet walked in with a pizza box and two beers.
"Hey!" Maya shouted from her bedroom and then came running to hur her friend.
"Did you go to the hospital today?" He asked innocently
Maya shook her head no. "Andy's there today. I had three meetings today." She then said.
Maya Bishop was the chief of Digital Marketing for a leading Magazine. Being the chied benefited her as she usually delegated tasks. That gave her more time for hospital visits and working on alternate days.
Emmet was her neighbor who had now become a very close friend. They both spent quite a bit of time together, he was Maya's rock this whole time.
"You're going tomorrow though?" He asked as he took a bite of the pizza.
