Ark: The Path To Remnant. (Ark x RWBY)

A child on The Island.

3rd person pov:

A small body is seen on the coast of one of the smaller islands. He's seen getting up. This child is Raymond Smith. He has blue eyes with brown hair and is only wearing some tan boxers that are crudely made. He finally stands up and sees his surroundings.

Raymond: "W-where am I?"

He looks around and adventures around a bit before he starts calling out.

Raymond: "MAMA! PAPA! WHERE ARE YOU!"

Little does Raymond realize that he has alerted a nearby creature. A Dilophosaurus. A small carnivorous reptile with frills on both sides of its head and armed with the capability of slowing and blinding its prey with its very weak, but effective poison.

As Raymond continues calling out for his parents. The Dilo makes its move. Raymond soon notices it and runs in fear. Raymond runs continuously as the dilo chases him, but Raymond trips and the dilo closes in. He braces himself for the attack, but instead he hears a screech followed by a womans Australian accent.

???: "You okay there mate?"

Raymond looks up to see a woman crouched over offering her hand to him. He looks over to see a massive bird pinning down the dilo with its massive talon before ripping out its throat with its beak.

Raymond takes her hand and is helped up.

Raymond: "W-who are you?"

???: "I'm Helena Walker, and this here is my Argentavis, Athena. Now who are you, and why are you alone?"

Raymond: "I'm Raymond, and I don't know. I woke up right over there."

Raymond points over towards where he woke up. He then feels something cold and metallic in his arm. He looks at it and freaks out.

Raymond: "WHAT IS THIS THING?"

He starts scratching it and pulling it, but nothing works. He soon gives up.

Raymond: "What's going on here? First I wake up on this island then I'm chased by a dinosaur and now this thing is in my arm?"

Helena: "Well kiddo why don't you come with me? I was on my way to meet a friend of mine. Maybe he can help you?"

Raymond: "Okay, but how will we get there?"

Helena: "Easy we can ride on Athena. C'mon."

Helena gets on Athena's back as Raymond though scared joins Helena on her birds back. They take to the sky and witness the sun setting. Raymond looks forward amazed by the view.

Raymond: "Wow."

Helena smiles at his reaction.

Helena: "There's nothing like flying high in the air and watching the sunset and sunrise. This is the pinnacle of beauty the island has to offer."

After a few minutes of flying Helena and Raymond land at a wooden mansion.

Helena: "I sure hope Rockwell's awake."

She knocks on the door and after a few minutes footsteps can be heard inside with a distant voice being heard.

???: "Who in their right mind would be awake at this hour?"

The door opens and an older man is seen rubbing his eyes.

???: "Who are you, and what do you need!?"

He sounds more annoyed than anything else.

Helena: "Hey there Rockwell."

Rockwell: "Oh well if it isn't Ms. Walker! Please come in."

Helena: "Thanks Edmund. I hope you don't mind, but I brought a guest."

Rockwell: "A guest? Where?"

Helena: "No need to hide kiddo. Rockwell's a friend of mine."

Raymond steps out from behind her looking up at Rockwell. Rockwell seems surprised to say the least.

Rockwell: "A child! Where did you find him?"

Helena: "I was just flying around on Athena and finishing up the Parasaur dossier when I caught sight of him running from a Dilophosaurus."

Rockwell: "How odd."

Raymond is seen looking around when he sees a vial of sort start to tip over he runs over and grabs it before it completely falls.

Rockwell: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THAT IS MY RESEARCH YOU'RE MESSING WITH!"

Raymond is seen turning around and approaches Rockwell with the vial in his hand.

Raymond: "Sorry sir. I saw it tipping over and grabbed it before it fell."

Rockwell looks over and seens the small rack that was holding the vial bent at an angle and nearly fallen over.

Rockwell: "That rack was perfectly fine a few hours ago."

Rockwell looks back at Raymond.

Rockwell: "Thank you child. This is my only sample of my most recent tonic. If it weren't for you I'd need to start over from square one. I apologize for yelling at you."

Raymond: "You're welcome and thank you. I didn't know how important it was, so I just wanted to make sure nothing happened to it."

Rockwell: "Anywho Helena what is it that you needed?"

Helena: "I wanted to know if you could watch over him. Knowing how my field of expertise is it wouldn't be the safest for a child to stick with me."

Rockwell: "Well I do have a spare room, and an extra pair of hands could be helpful."

Raymond: "I have an idea."

They look at him.

Raymond: "Could I join you on safer days and help mister Rockwell on the other days?"

Helena and Rockwell discuss the proposal Raymond made.

Helena: "Alright kiddo we decided. On days where I examine herbivores and smaller carnivores you can come with me."

Rockwell: "And during her more dangerous studies you can stay with me."

Raymond smiles.

11 years later:

We see a young man with familiar blue eyes and brown hair asleep in a bunk bed. Raymond has grown up to be a capable young man learning about the creatures of the island from Helena, how to make beneficial concoctions from Rockwell, how to fight from a woman he met named Li Mei Yin, and how to survive on his own.

A blue furred Hyenadon is seen licking his face. As if on cue he starts waking up.

Raymond: "Mmmmm! Fang knock it off. 5 more minutes."

Fang looks at him annoyed before pulling his blanket off of him.

Raymond: *sigh* "You win pal I'm up."

Raymond gets up and grabs his compound bow, and quiver of metal and tranq arrows. He enters his workshop, goes to the fridge, grabs an energy brew, and opens his door to the outside.

Raymond: "Today feels like it's gonna be an interesting one."
