Ark: The Path To Remnant. (Ark x RWBY)

Comfort and a promise.

Velvet pov:

Velvet is seen waking up in her room and sitting up in her bed.

Velvet: "I wonder how the team is doing? Coco's probably dragging Yatsu and Fox around on one of her shopping frenzies."

She smiles and let's out a small chuckle. Her look then changes to a sorrowful one.

Velvet: "How are Mom and Dad doing?"

She starts to cry after realizing that she doesn't know what her loved ones are doing and losing hope on ever seeing them again.

3rd person pov:

Raymond is seen coming out of his room exhausted with Fang dashing out of his room full of energy. He does his daily routine of getting an energy brew and drinking it before heading out to his greenhouse and harvesting his crops and making some baked potatoes and cooking up some Lamb Chops.

Raymond: "Fang could you go wake up Velvet for me please. Breakfast is almost ready."

Fang goes towards Velvet's room as Raymond sighs while cooking.

Raymond: "A damn same there isn't any wheat on this island. Looked all over and not a single grain of it."

Raymond then turns around after hearing Fang whimper.

Raymond gets the food on some wooden plates before kneeling down and talks to Fang who approaches him.

Raymond: "What's the matter pal? Where's Velvet?"

Fang grabs Raymond's sleeve and tugs on it a bit.

Raymond smiles and laughs a bit.

Raymond: "Alright lead the way pal."

Fang leads Raymond to Velvet's door.

Raymond: "What's wrong pal?"

Raymond goes to knock, but stop and hears crying coming from inside the room. He knocks on the door.

Raymond: "Hey Velvet are you okay?"

Velvet: "Y-yeah I'm f-fine."

Raymond shakes his head.

Raymond: "Well breakfast is ready when you're hungry."

Velvet: "C-could you bring it to me p-please? I'm not feeling the b-best right n-now."

Raymond sighs.

Raymond: "Alright. I'm gonna head out after breakfast to gather some supplies. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but you know where everything is right?"

Velvet: "Y-yeah be safe a-alright."

Raymond: "I will."

Raymond eats his food then heads out for supplies. After a few hours he returns. He puts everything where it belongs defore going towards Velvet's room. He sees her plate on the floor outside her room. He goes up to her door just to hear her quietly crying and knocks.

Raymond: "Velvet I'm back. Are you alright?"

Velvet: "Y-yeah still not feeling the best, b-but otherwise I'm fine."

Raymond: "Well can I come in?"

Velvet: "I-I guess?"

Raymond opens the door to see Velvet curled up in a ball on her bed with her back towards him. He makes his way towards her bed and sits down.

Raymond: "I know you're not okay, so don't try hiding it. What's wrong?"

Velvet sighs.

Velvet: "I miss my parents and my teammates. I don't know how they're doing, and it's really starting to get to me. Worst of all is that if what you say about us being from other worlds is true then who knows how far we are from Remnant. So I-I-I might never see them ever again."

She unexpectedly threw herself towards Raymond and starts hugging him while crying into his chest. He hugs her and pats her back to try to calm her down.

Raymond: "Don't say stuff like that. I'm sure we'll find a way to get you home."

Raymond proceeds to smile.

Raymond: "You made a promise to help me find out what happened to Helena and the others, so I hereby promise to get you back home by any means necessary. Even if it means I don't find my answers."

She looks at him shocked.

Velvet: "But you've been looking for them for 3 years! Surely getting me home can wait."

Raymond: "Velvet we both know what it's like to worry for the well being of our loved ones, but your situation is far worse than mine. Who knows how far your home is. As far as I'm concerned making sure you get home in one piece is my top priority."

Velvet starts to cry before hugging Raymond.

Velvet: "Th-th-thank you so much. That means so much to me."

Raymond once again hugs her to comfort her. After she finishes her tearful display she sits up in her bed with a smile.

Raymond: "Now how about you tell me more about your teammates?"

Velvet: "I'll tell you tomorrow. Afterall it is getting late."

Raymond: "Alright I could use the rest afterall."

He stands up and stretches his back.

Raymond: "Bringing back all that crystal, metal, and obsidian is no easy feat. Night Velvet."

Velvet: "Night Raymond."
