Ark: The Path To Remnant. (Ark x RWBY)

A savage encounter.

Raymond pov:

Raymond is seen running through the jungle looking for the woman with bunny ears with Fang right at his side.

Raymond: "I have to make sure those savages don't find her. Nobody deserves that fate. Fang did you manage to catch her scent?"

Fang let's out a sorry sounding yip.

Raymond: "Then we need to hurry up and find her."

Against all odds Raymond is able to track her down, but he's on edge because of where they are heading.

Raymond: "We're in savage territory now."

Velvet pov:

Velvet is seen running through the jungle until she enters a clearing.

Velvet: "I think I lost him. I was really hoping that he was different, but I guess I was wrong."

She evaluates her surroundings and realizes that she has no idea where she is or the dangers that might be lurking around. She then hears some bushes rustling behind her.

Velvet: "Hello? Is anyone there? If you're that jerk that tugged on my ear then just go away!"

Just then a man in shell like armor with a pike in hand comes from the bush with a sinister grin on his face.

Shell: "C'mon boys! Fresh meat!"

Two more men in armor made from animal skin follow behind him. One with a sword and another with a bow. Velvet starts to walk backwards before turning around and running. As she does she sees a large bipedal lizard with horns on its head with a man weilding a sword and another man with a sword and shield walking a bit ahead of them.

Velvet: "W-what do you want? What's wrong with you all?"

Shell: "Don't worry girlie we'll make your death slow and painful."

Rider: "Oh it's been too long since I've had human flesh. Hopefully you're not too gamey."

Velvet's eyes widen in shock.

Velvet: "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!"

Raymond pov:

???: "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!"

Raymond: "Come on Fang we have to help her!"

Raymond gets behind a bush and looks over to see some men surrounding her.

Raymond: "Dammit! A Blackheart hunting party. If I can kill that Carno they'll be to confused and I can pick them off."

Raymond draws an arrow and takes aim. He closes his eyes before opening one.

Raymond: "47° up. 5° to the right for wind resistance. Full draw and."

Velvet pov:

Velvet: "P-p-please don't kill me. I just want to find my way home."

Velvet has tears in her eyes as she speaks.

Shell: "No can do. You'll make quite the meal."

He licks his lips.

*Thunk* *Thud*

Velvet looks behind her to see the rider on the ground with his mount squirming around on the ground with a metal arrow through its neck.

Rider: "WHO THE HELL SHOT MY MOUNT!! I'LL HAVE YOUR FUCKING HEAD COWARD! SHOW YOURSELF GODDAMMIT!"

Shell: "Only one person has that kind of accuracy with a bow."

*Thud*

One of the swordsman receive an arrow to head and collapse immediately.

Shell: "The Deadeye Archer."

???: "FANG HIT AND RUN TACTICS!"

Velvet: "That guy again? Is he trying to help me?"

That same blue furred Hyena suddenly rushes from the overgrowth and rips out the throat of the rider. Suddenly the shell armored guy runs off, but large footsteps can be heard. And their close.

Shell: "HEAR ME DEADEYE! YOU WIN THIS ONE, BUT THE BLACKHEARTS WILL PREVAIL IN THE END!"

Velvet the witnesses as the others aside from Shell armor are dead. She feels a tug on her arm. Turning around she sees the guy again.

???: "We need to leave! NOW!"

Velvet: "Why should I listen to you!"

???: "Because if you don't you'll die!"

Suddenly a roar is heard looking behind her an absolutely massive creature stands glaring at the group with hate filled eyes. Arrows, swords, spears and huge bolts litter its body with chains ensnared around its arm and horns.

???: "Sorry ahead of time."

Suddenly Velvet is picked up by him as he runs and his Hyena leads the way, but thunderous footsteps are not far behind them.

Raymond pov:

Raymond: "I heard the footsteps from that monster. I know the only hope we have is to run. Creatures start running away having heard the monstrous roar. Looking ahead I see three fucking Rexes. Of fucking course it had to be Rexes."

One Rex goes to snap at Raymond as he slides just avoiding its bite. Another tries to stomp on him as he spins to the right avoiding it. The last one swings its tail at him as he jumps on it then jumps off barely sticking the landing.

Velvet pov:

Velvet: "He just avoided those beasts attacks back to back. All while carrying me."

Looking back Velvet sees the beast chasing them snap the neck of one of the creatures. One goes for its face as it grabs its head.

3rd person pov:

Several minutes later they slow down and stop to rest. Well Raymond does as he looks over at Fang crouches down and pets Fang.

Raymond: "Way to pal. You did great!"

Fang barks happily in response.

Raymond pov:

???: "Ahem. Excuse me, but can you explain to me what's going on here?
There's creatures I've never seen before, cannibals that tried killing me, and on top of it all I have no clue on how I even got here."

Raymond: "I expected you to have questions, and I'll answer all of them once we get to my home."

???: "And why would I trust you?"

Raymond: "Oh I don't know maybe the fact that I saved you from a Blackheart hunting party and carried you to safety away from THE apex predator of the island. Although I guess I could leave you to fend for yourself if that's what you want?"

She tries to argue, but can't find one.

Raymond: "That's what I thought. Follow me. We aren't far from my home."

They arrive at Raymond's home as he unlocks the door and let's them all in. As soon as Raymond locks the door after getting inside he turns around.

Raymond: "First of all I want to say I'm sorry for earlier. Now let's get introductions out of the way. I'm Raymond Smith. Pleasure to meet you."

He offers out his hand.

???: "Velvet. Velvet Scarlatina."

Raymond sits at his table and offers her a seat.

Raymond: "I promised you answers so ask away."

Velvet: "Where are we?"

Raymond: "Well I guess you had a bad first impression, but welcome to the Island."
