A/N: I honestly had no idea where I was going with this chapter, but I kinda like the way it turned out. I hope you all enjoy it too!~~~~~
On their way to Steve's car he explained the whole story to her. How they fooled Jason and his friends into thinking Steve would sometimes crash at Rick's place to get high and that Robin was his girlfriend. It's a good thing Jason did not associate Steve with Eddie, having been a jock himself gained Jason's trust.
"And they bought that?" Stacey asked in disbelief as she opened the door to the passengers seat.
"I'm not sure if they bought everything, but at least they didn't ask any further questions on Eddie. I told him I thought he would have left Hawkins by now." Steve replied as he took a seat behind the wheel.
"Well, let's hope they stop looking for him in town." Stacey sighed.Meanwhile the other five of them tried to squeeze into the back.
"Oh hell no, Henderson! You're not sitting on my lap!" Eddie exclaimed as Dustin tried to get himself into the car.
"We won't fit otherwise!" He argued.
"It might be a good idea if you stay low." Lucas said to Eddie.
"Or maybe you could get back in the trunk?" Robin suggested.
"Like some dead body? No thank you." Eddie replied. He managed to squeeze himself on the floor, between Steve's seat and the back seats.
"I'm also not a footstool, Dustin." He said annoyed as he tried to push Dustin's feet out of his face.
"I'm sorry okay, it's just a little bit tight!"
"Can we please just drive!" Max said desperately."Where are we going?" Eddie asked.
"Hopper's old cabin in the woods." Steve replied, hitting the gas. "Probably even more remote than this."He turned the radio on to drain out the bickering in the back.
"This is the 8 o'clock news live from Hawkins Radio Station. The suspect for the murder on Chrissy Cunningham, Eddie Munson, still hasn't been found by the police-"
"8 o'clock?" Stacey echoed. Her eyes winded. "Shit, I had a date at 8."
"A date?" Steve glanced over at her. "You said you were just going to the pool."
"Right, we are just going to the pool, for swimming lessons." Stacey replied awkwardly.
"Swimming lessons? If you really wanted those you would have asked me." Steve said. "I was a swimming captain in school and I've been a certified life guard for three years."
"Well, you never offered it." She simply replied.
"Just admit it, it's a date." Steve snapped at her.
"Why do you even care? You go on dates all the damn time.""Wait, what is this?" Eddie perked up.
"Nothing," Stacey replied. "I was supposed to go on a date at 8."
"I'm sure it was a lot more fun to get lost in the woods with me then going on a date." He joked awkwardly.
"Everything sounds better to me than going on a date with Billy." Robin replied.
"Billy?" Max asked.Shit, she totally forgot she was his little sister. Or stepsister. Or whatever it was they were now.
"Y-yeah, you don't mind do you? Since he's your brother." Stacey turned to look at her.
"He technically is not my brother," she replied. "But I can't say I encourage you."
"Okay, why's everyone against me?" She sighed and looked out of the window again.
"He's just an asshole, alright? He might be acting nice towards you but trust me, I've seen him with many girls. Non of them ever stick around for more than a few days. So if I were you, I wouldn't waste my time on him." The ginger girl replied.
"I agree with Max." Steve said.
"Of course you do, you hate him." Stacey replied.
"Well, if everyone thinks he's that much of an arse and he's just after you for, well, you know, sex-"
"Eddie, there are kids here!" Stacey scolded him.
"We're fifteen!" Dustin and Lucas shouted in unison. Gaining an eye roll from Max.
