The next day was Tuesday, meaning Stacey, Robin and Steve were back working at Family Video. It was as if everything was normal. Which, during the day time it seemed to be, but after work they'd go to see Eddie. Make sure he was still safe and bring him something to eat and drink. Meanwhile the kids and Nancy were trying to set up a plan to find and kill Vecna.
"So, how was your date?" Robin asked first thing in the morning as they were rewinding video tapes.
"Good." She nodded, biting her lip to keep her from smiling.
"Just good?" Robin asked and raised her eyebrows.
"Yeah, he learned me how to do backstroke." Stacey said.
"You actually went to get swimming lessons?" She said in disbelief. "I didn't expect that."
"I told you he isn't was he seems like." Stacey grinned, not telling the other things that they did."Who isn't what they seem like?" Steve asked as he walked over to the girls with a stack of tapes.
"Billy." Robin said. "Can you believe he actually thought her how to do backstroke?"
"To be honest, no I can't." Steve said, earning an eye roll from Stacey. "And it seems like it's not all they did."
"What?" Both girls said in unison and looked at Steve. Who nodded at her neck, making Robin look.
"Ohhh." She laughed.
Stacey had completely forgotten about how he had marked her an quickly covered her neck with her hand.
"Oh, shut up." She mumbled.
"I told you he was trying to get into your pants." Steve said.
"Please stop." Robin said and made a face.
"He didn't!" Stacey argued back. "We might have kissed, but that's all."
"Still, I don't like the guy." Steve said, placing his hands on his hips.
"I know you don't, Steve. I know you don't." She sighed annoyed."So, just between you and me," Robin said a little more quietly as she stood next to Stacey. "Is it really true you kissed Steve?"
"What?" Her eyes widened. "Why? Who said that?"
"He did." Robin replied, leaning against the counter.
"Son of a-" She sighed. "Steve!"
"Yeah?" He turned around.
"What on Earth did you tell her that for?" She threw her arms up.
"Tell her what?" He asked confused.
"That I kissed you!"
"So, it is true?" Robin raised her eyebrows.
"I-I-" Steve stuttered.
"It was a kiss on the cheek for goodness sake, out of kindness!"
"Steve.." Robin crossed her arms in front of her chest and gave him a disapproving look.
"What?" He tried to sound nonchalant.
"You're just unbelievable." Stacey shook her head.
"Maybe you should try to impress Nancy as hard as you try to impress Robin." She mocked.
"Hey, hey, hey, what is this all about?" He angrily placed his hands on his hips.
"The fact you're still in love with her and you're not willing to confess it." Stacey replied, mimicking his movements.
"Thank god I was not the only one who noticed." Robin said. "And have you seen the way she looks at you?"
"Guys, this is crazy. I'm not in love with Nancy and she is dating Jonathan. Okay? End of story." Steve said annoyed.
"Well, I'm sorry but we are not blind." Robin argued back.
"I think you are, though." Steve said and with that ended the conversation as he walked away into another aisle. It was a quiet day at the rental store. They'd speak to Nancy and the kids through the walkie every now and then. Apparently Nancy had come up with a plan, she wanted to investigate at the library later that day, to see if she could find some information on this guy called Victor Creel. Eddie's uncle had told Nancy about him, thinking that he might have been the one that had committed the crimes. Apparently he was a lunatic who had committed murders back in the day that matched exactly what had happened to Chrissy and Fred. It was a bit of a shot in the dark, but maybe the archives held some information on this Victor Creel. Maybe he knew about Vecna as well. Or could be even be Vecna?
