"Is my office a zoo to you? Why are you just wandering around instead of doing actual work?" Jia asked as she saw Haechan in her office, without permission of course.

"It's definitely a zoo if you're here" he mumbled but it was loud enough for hear. She approached her table, the heels clicking powerfully onto the ground before she slammed the paperwork onto the table

"Alright then, if you want to be manager so bad then go ahead and finish all this paperwork" She said with a smirk and he scoffed

"You can't just give me all your work" he said

"It's called delegating, search it up" She smirked as she turned back around to head out of her office

"Wait! Wait-"

"Mhm?" She hummed in response at his panicked voice, trying her best not to smile at his reaction

"I'm just messing, i would love to but I'm busy stapling sheets so...bye" he said hurriedly, leaving her office with an embarrassed smile as he rushed over to his desk to finish his mediocre and easy tasks

"Hey" a voice greeted Haechan as he walked to the coffee room to try get some caffeine into his system before his lunch break ended

"Oh hey...Yuki right?" He asked and she nodded with a small smile

"How are you finding your first week?" She asked, cheeks growing redder by the second as she realised how close she was standing to the guy she had put her eye on over the last few days

"Kind of boring to be honest, but it's nice to get to know the people you're working with" he said and she nodded

"I'm just excited for the halloween party" She said with a giggle

"Halloween party?" He asked and her jaw dropped slightly

"Oh! You didn't know? The office is hosting a huge halloween party, each department has their own theme. Finance department are squid game this year!" She said excitedly as she pictures the squid game doll dress she had ordered.

"Do you know what theme the sales team chose?" He asked, trying to recall if Jaemin or Chenle relayed anything to him

"I'm not sure. You should ask your seniors" She said

"Thanks for letting me know at least" he smiled

"There's a prize for the best dressed so make sure you put in effort...also" she said, trailing off and he raised an eyebrow. Bringing his mug upto his mouth to hide the smirk that was playing on his lips

"Do you wanna maybe...go together? We can head to my place after?" She said sheepishly and he chuckled

The past words of Jaemin rung through his head as he recalled the one piece of advice from him

'Don't get personally involved with people in the office'

But then again, when was Haechan ever one to listen to his superiors?

"Sounds like a plan" he smiled, placing the empty mug into the dishwasher before bidding her a goodbye and returning to his desk.

"What's our department dressing up as for halloween?" He asked

"Scary things" Chenle said

"What? You mean stranger things?"

"Nah bro. Just dress up as something spooky or weird. Its not that hard" Chenle shrugged

"Yeah not for you if its your natural look" Haechan muttered as he turned to Jaemin

"I'm just dressing up as squid game, like the finance department" Jaemin said

"But you're in sales-"

"No one's gonna know" he said simply

"What are you gonna be" Haechan asked and Chenle smirked

"You'll see"

"Wow thanks guys, you were both so helpful"

As the working day swiftly reached the end on a Tuesday night, it was finally time for the staff to leave. usually they would sit there doing overtime full of mundane tasks but since the interns were now here, it was no longer their problem.

"Make sure you get these signed, these need to be stapled and filed, these have to go towards quality control team and forward these to admin" Jaemin said, giving Haechan a workload of simple, yet agonisingly boring tasks

"Make sure you file these as well-"

"Aren't you guys doing too much? I thought i was your friend" Haechan scoffed at the two boys who had given him a handful of tasks

"What? I already stapled them for you! That's as far as our friendship goes" Chenle shrugged, adding another stack of paper onto his paper tower making Haechan groan

"See you tomorrow"

"Bye kiddo"

"I'm older than you, you piece of- ah! Ah... my blood pressure" Haechan said calming himself down at Chenle's constant teasing.

Yuki shot Haechan a small smile across the office floor and he returned one back as they got to their slow burn tasks. Of course he had saved the most important task to the very end, knowing Jia would be working overtime as usual. His feet treaded lightly past Renjun's, who left on the dot at 5pm, desk.

"Aww do you miss me baby? Do you want me to rub your tummy? Aigoo my princess, wait a few hours~ mommy will be home soon! Ah cutie-" Jia cut herself off and ended the call, clearing her throat in embarrassment as she realised Haechan was infront of her desk, cringing at every word.

"I didn't know you were into that" he smirked to get under her skin

"I was talking to my dog— Can you please fucking knock!" She said in anger with a tinge of embarrassment

"Hmm, I'll think about it" he said insincerely

"Why are you here anyway?" She asked, rolling her eyes at the behaviour she had somehow got used to. But if it was from anyone else in this office apart from the CEO's only son, she would've been sure to slap them to the brink of kwangya.

"I just need you to sign these" he said, giving her the pages while she quickly skimmed through each one before signing them off

"Could you also file these-"

"To be honest, I'm sick and tired of filing and I'm literally so hungry right now. So I'm gonna go home, you can leave it on my desk and I'll do it first thing tomorrow morning" he said, walking away from her desk

"E-excuse me? Did you just...did you just tell me what to do?" She asked, flabbergasted about the lengths of how far his ego could reach

"Mhmm, sound good mommy?" He asked with a smirk and a chuckle following after as he saw her face grow red before he walked out of her office, shaking his own head at how immature their bond was with each other.
