Stevie laughed louder as she sat back in her seat covering her mouth. "I'm sorry--" She muffled her chuckles as she fanned her free hand.
Tremaine rolled his eyes as he rested back in his chair, clenching his teeth, he sat watching Stevie continue to laugh, growing annoyed now by the immature act. He decided to squash it. "What's so funny, Stevie? You've been laughing for almost ten minutes now. Look if you --"
Stevie exhaled a few times. Holding her hand up to signal "one sec" clearing her throat she sat up fixing her slumped posture, swiping the stray tears away from her cheeks. She took yet another deep exhale "Okay ... Okay, it's hard for me to take you serious, Tremaine. You're on some christian grey type shit. We don't even like one another, you think we're supposed to just... What? Have sex? What type of Wattpad shit is this, you're my boss, Tremaine--"
Tremaine stood from his seat, moving over to take a glance out the window at the view below him. Staring down at the cars crowding the streets, he then turned around to look at Stevie. "Just forget I said anything, apparently you're scared,"
Stevie's head shot up. "Scared? Who me? Stevie Calhoun? Of what exactly?" She laughed. "You--"
"I'm just sayin' that's what it seems like. I presented you with a proposition, a business deal what have you, right? And you're just utterly amused by it, why?" He inquires tucking his hands in his dress pant pockets.
"Because! I can give a few reasons why, Tremaine,"
"I'm listening," He encourages with a light shoulder shrug.
"We barely even like one another, Tremaine! C'mon now we've been ripping each other's heads off for the past couple months now, and, randomly we're just supposed to hop in the bed together and screw around? No, besides you're my fucking boss! That... That changes the whole dynamic, especially with someone like you. What if something goes wrong, boom, there goes my job. Never, ever mix business with pleasure,"
Tremaine listened thoroughly to Stevie's word's. Shaking his head, he moved over to take a seat back in his chair. "I came up with the proposition from that... That mutal dislike from one another, Stevie, see that fire you got in you? If im being frank? That shit is a total turn on for me. See, I've never had anyone tell me off so brash, and look so good doing it, like you do, Stevie. Now, the only reason I've reciprocated the same energy with you all these months? Is because I have to keep up this bully act, when I'm around you, because if not? I'd have you bent over my desk with my tie around you wrists. With that being said, I apologize for coming on so strong in the beginning, just testing the waters of course, but, we're two openly single people, who I'm knowledgeable of, have needs and desires that need to met, am I correct?" He questioned never dropping eye contact with her.
An arch brow raised. Stevie simply nodded in response.
He gave a brief smile. "Great, so.. What's so wrong with helping one another out? Also, as I stated earlier we can write up a contract if that'll provide some reassurance over the whole business, pleasure thing. That's if we come to an agreement, also, we aren't just hopping into bed as you forceful put it, Stevie. There will be event's that lead up to it, just so that it happens causally and not rehearsed like a fuckin' movie scene or some shit," He chuckled lowly. "So what do you say, do we have a deal?" He stuck his hand out towards her.
Stevie sat staring across the desk at Tremaine's hand. Silently, she contemplated all the cons and pro's of accepting this "deal" ...
