Tate's View

"Is mom gonna be okay?" Manny asks.

"She's not acting the same." Allison says.

"Don't worry." I say.

"Okay." Y/n says coming back inside.

"Thank you, bye." Y/n says.

Y/n hangs up her phone and I see a tear fall down her cheek.

She dropped the phone and burst into tears

She walks down the hall and I get up.

"I'll be back." I say.

I go down the hall and see Y/n crying.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"It didn't work, the surgery didn't work. It fucking tripled in size." Y/n says.

The doctor just confirmed her fears

I hug Y/n and gently rub her back.

Her husband held it in and held her tight

"You're gonna be okay." I say.

"It's not even about me or how I have my whole life ahead of me. It's about the kids." Y/n says.

Cancer don't discriminate or care if you're just 38
With three kids who need you in their lives

"I know all of this is scary but we're gonna get through this. Don't stop fighting now." I say.

He said, "I know that you're afraid and I am, too
But you'll never be alone, I promise you"

Y/n nods and I smile.

Time Skip

"Y/n, I love you, but you need to get a shower." I say.

"I can't move." Y/n says.

Y/n starts to cry and I hug her.

Y/n has a brain tumor in the back of her head that affects her ability to move sometimes. She's had it for a year but she's just ready to give up. I hate seeing her like this but I have to be strong for her and the kids.

When you're weak, I'll be strong
When you let go, I'll hold on

"C'mon, Y/n. Don't give up." I say wiping her tears.

When you need to cry, I swear that I'll be there to dry your eyes

"I can't fucking do this, I can't." Y/n says.

When you feel lost and scared to death
Like you can't take one more step

"You can and you will. We're gonna get through this together. You need to show that tumor who's the boss. I need you to do anything but give up." I say.

Y/n nods and I kiss her forehead.

Time Skip

"How are the kids?" I ask.

"They're fine, they're trying to decide on which board game they want to play." Tommy says.

Y/n's doctor didn't want to do surgery on Y/n because it was risky to do it again. She found a doctor who was willing to do it in Seattle so Y/n's brother is watching the kids.

"Okay. Y/n's surgery is done, I'm waiting for them to let me in the room. I'll have her call you if she's up to it." I say.

"Okay, bye." Tommy says.

"Bye." I say.

I hang up and the room door opens. I go in and hear Y/n groan.

"I have some great news." Dr Thompson says.
