"Are you okay in there?" I ask.

Tate doesn't say anything and I open the bathroom door.

"Why are you sitting on the floor? What's wrong?" I ask.

"I don't wanna go." Tate says.

"Why not?" I ask.

Tate stares and me and I hold holds my hands out. She grabs them and I help her stand up.

"I get why you feel that way, we just had a baby." I say.

"It's our first night out in forever, don't let anything ruin it. If anyone has something to say, I'll take care of them... hopefully politely." I say.

She nods and I walk out of the bathroom. I go downstairs and Tucker looks up.

"So basic rules. Don't drop her, don't feed her anything but baby food—" I say.

"I know how to take care of a baby." Tucker says.

"I mean, how would you know? You were dropped on your head as a baby." I say.

"That's not true." Tucker says.

"It is." Tate says coming downstairs.

"You told her?" Tucker asks.

"Everyone knows." Tate says.

We laugh and he shakes his head.

2 hours later...

I hold Tate's hand and she smiles.
