"Tell me why are we doing this again."

Time has gone by, and by time it's only been two weeks since they saved the world from Ammit troubles and trapped her soul in Harrow's body. From what Emmy was told, Harrow was out in a lunatic asylum hospital.

"Because Marc what's to know the person I'm so smitten about." Emmy removed her sunglasses from her face as they began to approach the restaurant Marc and Layla both sat at.

"Smitten, huh?" Luke glanced down at her with a grin on his face, cheeks going scarlet red. "Really?"

"Marc said it not me." Emmy said in defensive, catching Layla's eyes with a smile on her face, looping her arm through Luke's. "Just be yourself and you'll be fine."

"Have your met this kid before." Marc Spector eyed his sister and the man dangerously close to her, turning his head to Layla.

"Sorta, not really. Don't know much about him." Layla tells him smiling at Emmy as they both sat down across from them, the weather was great, not to cold, but warm enough to eat outside the restaurant.

"Marc, this is my best friend, Luke." Emmy points at them, Luke smiled at the man but quickly gulped seeing the serious look on the man's face from across.

"Marc." Layla scolded shaking her head. "Hi, Luke I'm Layla. Marc's wife." Luke nods smiling kindly at the woman.

"So, how did you guys meet." Marc began, Emmy rolled her eyes leaning back against the chair knowing Marc wasn't going to stop until he really knew him.

"Well, we both knew each other since we were kids, my parents are originally from London but my father was offered a job in New York and took it and that's where I met little em's."

Emmy groan shaking her name. "Gosh, I hate that name." Marc nods glaring down at menu knowing he had to order a salad since Steven was a vegan.

"teasing you is what I'm best at, sorry love" Luke mentions smiling cocking his head to the side, Emmy hummed as the waitress approached their table.

"How did you find out Marc was your brother."

Hours have gone by and the sun was just about setting, Emmy kept her arm looped through Luke's arm as they took a stroll around the city.

"You remember the book that was shipped to my house? Yeah, well that was his and it was my biological father telling me about Marc even though I though it was sent to the wrong address but turns out it wasn't."

Emmy sighs laying her head on his bicep and they turned the corner going into a ice cream shop.
"Wow, is that why you disappeared for almost a week." He raised his hand with peace sign towards the ice cream man.

"I didn't disappear." Emmy declares crossing her arms over her chest, Luke cocked his head letting out a big laugh.

"You're ridiculous if you think I believe that." Luke says before taking the two cones from the man before paying him for the cones. "But I get it, you don't have to explain yourself."

Emmy hummed licking the side of her cone, making it out the shop over to the man in gold sitting next to him on the fountain. "Hello, haven't seen you in a while." Emmy says tossing a coins into his hat.

"At first I didn't want to believe it but once I saw the DNA test I knew he was my brother." Emmy said softly, glancing up at the moon smiling.

"I also had a younger brother but he passed away at a young age."

"I'm sorry." Luke frowns, he couldn't relate to losing a love one but he knew what Emmy had gone though the past few months. "I'm sure he was great."

"Yeah. Me, too."

The pair of best friends continued to munch on their ice cream while exchanging conversations through the night before they knew it, they went their separate ways heading home.
