I wake up in Eddie's bed after I had fallen asleep on the couch. I don't know if I'm being dumb or just too tired but I'm guessing he carried me here. Don't even say anything I know he did.
"Eddieeeee. Time to get up.." I say in a soft voice
"Darling?"
Did he just call me darling???
"It's me Ed. Time to get up. It's Saturday but I wanted to say goodbye. Steve is coming to pick me up. And I can't come over I told max I'd stay and we'd watch a movie."
"Aw. Ok loser. When will Steve be here?"
"In ten minutes but I gotta get dressed."
"Oh ok. You just gonna wear my hellfire shirt?"
"Mhm. But I need to go out some makeup on"
"You don't need makeup y/n how many times have I told you? You're prettier without makeup. Not that you don't look good with makeup it's just I like you without makeup."
"I know what you mean Ed. But it's just you know some people don't like me without makeup and I have to keep my cheer rep good"
"Ok well just saying you don't need makeup"
"God damnit! Ed! Steve's here and I haven't gotten my makeup on!"
"If you really wanna do it just do it in the car"
Knock knock
Eddie opens the door and Steve is standing there
"Hey Steve!" I yell from the bathroom
"Hey y/n. Hey Eddie. How's it going?"
"Good"
"Did she tell you?"
"Tell me w-"
"Shut it Steve. Let's go."
"Tell me what y/n?"
"Nothing. I promise it's nothing."
"No tell me you can tell me"
"No I really gotta go. Trust me I'll tell you some other time maybe tomorrow or the next day or never or maybe even if you come to my work which would be weird although it'd be ok if you came not saying I want you there but also not saying I don't anyways I got to go I'll see you later bye Ed!" I say but talking really fast and awkwardly.
"What was that?" Steve asks
"I was nervous ok! I didn't tell him. I couldn't. I didn't have the heart too. I don't want our friendship to be ruined. Anyways let me do my makeup please."
"You don't need makeup" Steve says
"Ed already gave me this talk and I told him the same thing. I have to keep my cheer rep and if anyone sees me without makeup I will become a loser and be kicked off the squad and I don't want that"
"You know if you guys start dating you will be known as the girl dating Eddie the freak Munson."
"He's not a freak!" I say hitting Steve
"Ok whatever. Just do your makeup we gotta get Robin still."
"Right! Hurry and drive but not too fast I can't ruin my makeup"
Later at robins
My makeup is finished and I run up to robins door and knock
Knock knock
"Hey y/n! Wow you look pretty"
"Thanks Robin now let's get in or we're gonna be late!"
"Yeah yeah let's go!"
In the car
"I just don't know why we have to be at work anyways. There's plenty of other people to work" Robin says
"We work Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. That's how it's been all year."
"Yeah. Even at scoops that's how it's been." Steve says
"Thanks Steve. Anyways we're at work so get your smiles on people. Because it's a Saturday. So you know what that means."
"The Saturday rush." Robin says
"Yup. The worst day of the year." Me and Steve say in a sing songy voice.
Later after work
We get a call on the work phone and Robin answers.
"Y/n. It's your boyfriend"
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Sure. Anyways take the phone."
"I'm coming I'm coming I was on the other side of the store."
"Sorry she'll be right here she's taking forever though!"
"Shut it Robin. Don't you say a word Steve or I will hurt you... Hey doofus. What's up?"
"Nothing just wondering if you wanted a ride to your place after work."
"Sure sounds great. Work ends in about fifteen minutes which is enough time for you to get here. I'll see you soon. I love you doofus"
"I love you too loser. Alright bye"
"Byeeeeee"
"I love you?" Steve asks
"Thought y'all weren't dating?" Robin says
"Shut up. We're not I promise. We've been saying that for a while."
"Mhm ok."
Fifteen minutes later.
"Hey Ed thanks for picking me up."
"Mhm no problem. Now get in so you and Max can watch some movies."
"You remembered?"
"Of course. How could I not. How was work?"
"It was good. How was your day?"
"Pretty good. I just hung out at home. So what was Steve talking about this morning?"
"Oh nothing "
"You sure?"
"Mhm. You don't trust me?"
"I do I was just curious you seemed weird about it."
"Ok... So tomorrow I was thinking we could hang out maybe go on a walk in the park?"
"Sure. Sounds good. I'll drive."
"Well I was thinking about taking Billy's car. We got it fixed and it's really nice."
"I mean. Only if you want. You're driving?"
"Mhm. Is that ok?"
"Yeah just wondering. Anyways we're here. So. Get out loser. Love ya have fun"
"Love you too doofus. See you in the morning?"
"Nine sound good? Go get breakfast then the park?"
"Sure. Bye doofus"
"Bye loser"
I walk up to the house and Max quickly opens the door.
"Hey!! Hurry come in so we can watch movies! I'm excited!"
"Me too! So I wanted to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"Basically I just wanted to let you know I'm taking Billy's car tomorrow... Me and Eddie are going to breakfast and then the park"
"Oh ok. I dont really care just don't trash it."
"Ok. Thank you max. Now let's watch some movies bitch!"
"Yessss!"
Max throws in some movie we've never seen and we watch it for a few hours. She goes to bed but I can't sleep thinking about Eddie. So now I guess I'm gonna walk over to his. Maybe confess to him because I'm a little drunk. I drank some beer during the movie. Don't worry max didn't she's a good kid.
