"So I figured out how we're going to get my powers back." This is said to you while you and Bill were having a bite of breakfast.

"I'm listening."

"There's this crystal I completely forgot about. It's like an old legend, but it's supposed to grant power. More power than what I originally had. Only issue is no one is able to find it, even demons."

"So….you want me to go find this crystal that's apparently so hard to find that even demons can't find it with their infinite power? You're crazier than I thought."

"No, no, let me finish. I think Sixer has already found it. That's why no one else can. He's got it all locked up tight to avoid some disaster."

"Okay so you want me to rob Ford from right under his nose. Even better."

"No need to be so sensitive, (Y/N)! Look, if we do this right then Ford won't even know you stole it. Besides, we don't know if he has it yet or not."

"For your sake, you better hope he doesn't."

***********

"(Y/N), are you alright? Your face has gone pale." Ford snaps you out of your thoughts as you realize you're still standing in front of him holding the crystal. You swallow dryly. "Y-Yeah, sorry. I think I just got really sick all of a sudden…." It technically isn't a complete lie since you feel like your guts are about to spin. Ford hurriedly takes back the crystal and you lower your shaking hands. "Hm, the crystal might have some adverse effects I wasn't aware of. You should head home and get some rest. I'm sure whatever effect it has will be gone by tomorrow….But if it isn't, let me know."

You don't say a word, simply nod in agreement and leave the basement as quickly as you possibly can without alerting Ford's suspicion. You soak in the situation as you ride the elevator up, taking a deep breath to try and calm yourself down. It doesn't get rid of the nauseous feeling in your gut but it does help somewhat.

The air in the mystery shack feels cleaner than downstairs as you head to the staircase. You grip the railing like your life depends on it, trying to calm your nerves before you get to the bedroom. You knock on the twins’ bedroom without hesitation then open the door after a moment of pause. Mabel and Bill appear to be deep in a conversation, while Dipper is off to the side looking annoyed yet mildly intrigued. You can only imagine what they are talking about as the conversation stops the moment you open the door.

“...Mike, we need to head home. You guys can finish the conversation later.” Concerned glances are shared between the three, but ultimately, Bill gets up from the bed and strides towards you. He whispers quietly. “Are you okay?” You spin on your heel and start exiting the attic. He follows quickly. “We’ll talk at the house.” You walk with long and fast strides, trying to make distance between you and the Mystery Shack. No words are spoken between the two of you the entire trip back home.

You let Bill in behind you then shut the door. Once you hear the click of the latch falling into place, it feels like your soul re-enters your body. You have an exaggerated sigh and turn to look at Bill who has taken up a spot on the couch and looking at you expectantly. You walk over and plop yourself next to him. He doesn't say anything while you collect yourself, patiently waiting beside you for you to start the conversation. Finally, you breathe in.

"Ford has the crystal we were looking for." Bill's eyes widen and his mouth drops open. You continue. "He has it locked up behind a code in a secret panel on the wall. He showed it to me while I was down there." You release a long breath and look at him, waiting for his reaction. He remains with a starstruck look on his face until it suddenly shatters and he grins. He stands up and pulls you to your feet, giddily pulling you into a hug which starts to crush your bones. "That's amazing! Oh my god, (Y/N), do you know what this means?!"
