Bill brought you breakfast a bit later, long enough for you to be bored out of your mind. You're staring out the window above your bed when he enters, carrying a tray of toast, eggs, and waffles. Despite this, your eyes instead focus on the fact that Bill is wearing a pink apron with flowers on it, one you rarely use nowadays. Why he is wearing it is beyond you, but you decide to tease him about it. "Breakfast in bed and a pink apron? Are you my house wife now?" He sets the tray on top of your legs once he approaches your bed.
"A house wife....? If that is the human equivalent of taking care of you then yes." You deflate, being reminded of the fact that Bill doesn't know a thing about humans still. Your teasing was useless. You start to munch on your waffles and eggs. You take a bite and then are reminded of your usual chores. "Bill, can I trust you to tend to my garden? I don't think going out with an open wound would be the best idea." You look at him and he gives you a glowing grin like you had just offered him all his powers back and more. "Of course! Leave it to me." You roll your eyes but can't stop the smile that shines on your face.
Bill leaves you to eat, doing as you asked to go and tend to your plants outside. Meanwhile, you finish up your food and set the tray to the side. You sit on the edge of the bed, glancing around for anything that could be used as a crutch. Unfortunately, you didn't spot anything in your room that could be used as such. You huff and scoot down to the edge of the bed closest to the wall. You push off and use the wall to stabilize you as you hop on one foot. You slowly take your time to exit your bedroom, trying your best not to fall.
You make it to the hallway with your pride intact but your leg less so. It's already starting to ache from having to support a whole body hopping on it. In any case, you make your way to the kitchen and take a breather against one of the counters. An unused broom sits in one of the corners which your aim. You grab it and spin it around so the handle is against the ground, putting a small amount of your weight on it. It doesn't do much, but it's better than nothing and your leg will thank you for it.
As you're getting used to your new tool of movement, you hear a light knocking on the door. You know with Bill out in the garden that he wouldn't hear it so you take a deep breath and head on over to the door. The schematics of opening the door while hopping are a little rough on your part, but you try your best. You grab the handle and swing it open. However, the movement makes the broom slip out from under you and you go falling back with a cry and a crash. Dipper and Mabel watch on, bewildered.
"Hey guys, nice of you to stop by." You blow some of your hair out of your face, picking your head up to look at the two. You hear a rush of footsteps and Bill comes running in, armed with a hoe which he points into the open room. "I heard a crash, where's the danger?! Let me at 'em, I'll-!" He stops and takes a record of the situation, his head slowly falling to look at you on the floor. You blink a few times then wave.
"Ah, I see. Your greatest enemy, the floor, has come back to get revenge." You snort and sit up, trying to gather yourself as best you can. "Very funny. Just help me up, will you? I think the floor gave me a concussion." Bill snickers as you offer him your hand and he yanks you to your feet. He leads you over to the couch so you can sit down. "Now that's all settled, what's up guys?"
"Well, we were coming to hang out, but what's up with you?" Mabel loks on with curiosity as you watch her take note of your appearance. Her eyes land on your wrapped up foot. "Oh, you know, just stepped on a broken piece of glass. No big deal." You shrug with an offhanded grin which causes Mabel to return the gesture, her spirits immediately going back up. Dipper looks way more concerned and he looks like he wants to say something, but you quickly continue the conversation. "B-Mike has been taking care of me since yesterday. Did you guys see the pink apron he's wearing?"
That turns everyone's attention to Bill who looks highly offended by your comment. "Look, laugh all you want but I won't be the one with food and dirt all over my clothes." You snicker slightly while both Dipper and Mabel also give a few giggles. The air is much lighter now that the focus has been taken off your injury. "So, you guys wanted to hang out?" And just like that, Mabel wrangles the whole group into you bedroom. You can already feel the dread rising.
Mabel brought board games for everyone to play with each other. You're really surprised. You figured she would avoid your place at all costs once she found out that Mike is Bill. You watch for a few seconds as Mabel gets the game board 'Monopoly' set up for you all, raining the fake money onto Bill with loud laughter as Bill tries to catch it in the air. Everyone is sitting around, laughing with each other and having a good time. You can't help but smile, seeing that everyone is getting along despite what Mabel and you know. Hopefully, with time, you'll be able to talk to Dipper and have him know Bill too.
"(Y/N)? Are you gonna join us?" you come out of your thoughts to see everyone ready to play and waiting on you. You quickly nab a (f/p) for the Monopoly board and throw it onto the go square. "Yeah! Let's go, I'm gonna kick your butts!" Jeers and teasing rise up in the room and the game kicks off.
You all play Monopoly, Sorry, Jenga, Go Fish, and Yahtzee. The games take hours, and it certainly wasn't what you are expecting to be doing the whole day, but it's nice. Mabel pauses once you finish up the last game. "What do you guys think of a more high-stakes game?" This piqued everyone's interest, especially Bill. "Oh, what kind of stakes?" Mabel grins and reveals Clue. "Whoever can figure out the murderer first gets to ask any of us for anything they want." Bill is on this offer so quickly that you don't get the chance to blink. "Deal! I'll get this prize so easy that you guys won't know what hit you." You and Dipper seem more on the fence about this since that's a pretty vague offer. "Whoever wins, just make sure that you ask for something within normal means." You state this to the room but give a pointed look to Bill who notices it. He grins at you with teeth showing. "Just win and you won't have to worry about anyone doing anything extreme."
Mabel sets up the game board and everyone gathers their cards and sheets. The room is nearly dead silent as everyone concentrates solely on the game. You glance over at Bill and he looks like he's plotting a murder himself. His brain must be running a million miles a minute to win this challenge. Dipper looks much similar but he seems to just be calculating all the clues so he can figure it out quickly. Mabel doesn't seem to care, she's just in it for the game. You're certainly trying but you don't normally play games like this and it's hard to keep track of everything.
"Aha! I got it!" Bill suddenly shouts after a turn, throwing his sheet down like he's won the lottery. "No way! We're only a few rounds into the game, there's no way you figured it out so quickly!" Dipper shouts his protest. Bill smirks with a mischievous look in his eyes. He seems extremely sure of himself which makes you suspect he might have not been playing fairly. "It's Violet in the kitchen with a bat. Try me." Seeming so confident, Mabel grabs the small envelope and opens it to look at the cards. She gasps dramatically. "He's right!"
You throw your cards down in anger. "You cheated!" Bill leans back and puts his hands behind his head, acting cool and level-headed while he intakes everyone's reaction. "Do tell how I cheated and I will gladly admit to my crimes, (Y/N)." You huff since you know any claims you could make would reveal him to Dipper, so you keep your mouth shut. You cross your arms and look away from him with a glare. You can't help but worry about what ridiculous request he'll ask of any of you. "Mike wins so he gets the prize!" Mabel eagerly starts throwing the game back together in its box while Bill thinks.
"Anything I want from any of you, hm? Oh, what to pick...." You silently sigh and sit back on your palms, deciding to concede to whatever fate he brings the group of you all. "(Y/N)!" You're not surprised in the slightest. You roll your eyes exaggeratedly and look at him. "What do you want, cheater?" You spit the word harshly which only makes Bill snicker in amusement. He taps his chin and looks at you as if he's still thinking but you can tell he's already made up his mind. "Mmm...I want you to kiss me." He says it offhandedly like it's nothing. The whole room falls unti dead silence, and then...
"Wait, what?!" Your words come out as a squeak, shock and embarrassment funneling into you. Your cheeks turn a nice ruby red and you shake your head avidly. "No way! We said something not extreme! That's way too much!" You wave your hands as well to prove a point. There's NO way you're going to give away your first kiss to the demon. "Oh come on, it's just a little smooch. What's the big deal?" Bill puts his chin in his palm, leaning into it with the most casual air he's ever had while he's been living with you. Your embarrassment is starting to bubble into anger. He treats it like it's nothing because he isn't human; he doesn't know what it means to kiss someone. "That's my first kiss! I'm not doing it. Ask for something else!" You hiss your words with an anger that no one in the room expects. He blinks a few times and realizes you're serious.
"What about a kiss on the cheek?" Bill offers a few seconds later. You think on it for a few moments. Well, that's not too big a deal. You're still not too happy about it but it's something you can tolerate, and you can tell Bill seems oddly determined to get this sort of thing from you. You sigh in response. "Yeah, fine, that works." You scooch over to where Bill is sitting, his face having brightened within the second you gave your response. Your burning features have yet to calm down and you can feel the heat begin to reach your ears. You take a deep breath and brush a bit of your hair back. Without hesitation, you press your lips to his cheek and give him a quick peck, pulling away as soon as one second passes. Not quick enough apparently because you hear a 'click!' go off as soon as you kiss him.
You look over and Mabel has her camera out, having clearly just taken a picture of what you've done. "Scraporrtunity!" You scramble away from Bill, your embarrassment reaching new bounds. You swear you can feel the redness reaching your shoulders. "Mabel! Tear that up right now!" You dive for her, albeit awkwardly with your off-balance foot, but she anticipates you and jumps up to her feet, cackling as she runs away with the picture in hand. "No way! This is a memory! We'll put it in the slideshow at your wedding!"
"WEDDING?!" You can't find the effort to continue the chase at her words, bringing your whole brain to a halt from shock. Mabel giggles and spins around, waving the picture in the air like a prize. "Yeah! You and Mike's wedding! A few more shots like this and we'll have a whole presentation!" You plant your face on the floor, the coolness of the wood doing its best to beat the heat burning under your skin. You've never been this embarrassed in your life. You've never imagined your own wedding, let alone dating someone; and Bill no less. Would you even be willing to date him? What kind of question is that, of course you wouldn't.
"Mabel, it's getting late. We should head back to the Shack so Grunkle Stan doesn't worry." Dipper's voice suddenly pipes up, having been silent during this whole ordeal. You make a mental note to thank him later for the save. "Oh wow, you're right! It's already dark outside. Let's get going bro-bro! Bye Mike, bye (Y/N)!" You give a muffled goodbye in response from your position on the floor. Then, you jolt up as you remember something. "Wait, Mabel!"
You stand, not putting weight on your foot, and dust yourself off, your face cooled finally as your embarrassment dwindles away. "Can I talk to you for a sec? Um, alone, if you will, boys." You shoo Dipper and Mike out of the room. Mike does so without complaint but Dipper seems a little suspicious. "It's okay Dipper, it'll just be a few minutes. Girl stuff!" Mabel covers for you and Dipper seems to accept it as he leaves as well. You shut the door behind them.
