a few days later...

ishita, after what appeared to be a tiring sleep, opened her eyes to a large suitcase placed next to her on the bed, she looked up, only to find dushyant zipping it up.

"dushyant? kahan jaa rahe ho tum?" asked ishita, panicked, as she sat up immediately.

"main nahi hum...." stated dushyant, continuing to pack another bag, as ishita raised her brow at him.

"tumhara dimaag toh theek hai?" questioned ishita, completely appalled at the absurdity of his suggestion.

dushyant, stopped packing, as he sat next to her, a tranquility of sorts in his eyes.

"we need a break, ishita....from not just this mess but, god aren't you just tired of just being who we have become? don't you, miss us....." dushyant's words did not need an explanation, she felt it.

                                                                                   ***

purvi frantically grabbed hold of whatever she could find on the dinning table, only to keep it in her bag, preparing for work, she attempted to avoid kavin, who persistently hovered around her.

"kavin, mere paas kahin jaane ka time nahi hai, i have to work...." stated purvi, as kavin was done with her coldness, and pulled her to himself by her wrist, such that their eyes met at a distance so less, that their breaths collided.

"purvi, hum jaa rahe hain, mere liye nahi humare liye." stated kavin firmly, as purvi couldn't help but let the intensity in his gaze get to her, she couldn't help but be persuaded by the sheer force of it.

                                                                                       ***

ishita looked outside the window of the passenger's seat, the sun above the enchanting hills seemed to be moving along with them on the journey. it shined bright, making her close her eyes, and taking the warmth in of being sunkissed.

it was only a matter of few seconds, before her eyes would open due to the sudden stop of the car.

she looked over to dushyant rather keenly, trying to know what made him stop, as he eyed her to look outside.

Her eyes fell on a breath-taking spectacle, mountains peaks covered in snow, as green, lush, bushy grass concealed a clear, blue lake that reflected the mountain on it.

Purvi looked at dry grasslands, and a burning crimson sun on her face, only sand dunes in her line of sight.

She moved her glance to driver's seat, as she looked at kavin's sun lit face, it reminded her of when they were dating as teenagers, he'd walk her home from school. It used to be scorching, the sun's heat, but she didn't care.... He looked even more great to her.

She was taken aback from her thoughts, as she felt kavin's hand onto hers, there was something oddly comforting about it, so she let it be.

Dushyant and ishita sat by the tiny lake, letting the chilly wind come onto them, as it felt like a breeze. The silence lingered though, as their gaze moved to each other.

"Tum kaise bhul gaye dushyant? Humari life hum banane waale the na...7 janam ke baad na chodne ki baatein karte the aur pehli hi problem pe..." Ishita chocked up, as she started to look away, wiping away the tear that escaped her eye.

Dushyant immediately rushed to hug her, as she held on, god she missed this embrace.

He lifted her face by her chin, making her look up to him, as he wiped her tears.

"Ishita, main kabhi nahi bhula.. Haan, mujhse galtiyaan hui...main yeh waada toh kar nahi sakta ki mujhse galti nahi hogi, par tumhe chodna woh kabhi nahi hogi..main hamesha waapas aunga, galti sudharunga, tumhe khush rakhunga, kyunki woh mere liye sabse zaroori hai.."
Stated dushyant earnestly, as their gaze remained fixed on each other.

"Mujhe bas yahi toh dushyant chahiye tha,Jisse maine pyaar kiya tha." Responded ishita a smile on her face, with her eyes moistened, as she buried her head in his chest, holding onto his shirt's collar, not wanting to ever leave this embrace, it was home.

The sun was starting to set, but it was the dawn of new beginnings.

Kavin rested his head onto purvi's, which was resting on his shoulder, as he put his arm around her, which she held onto.
Their car was parked on the side, at a far away corner, as it rained in front of them everywhere, nothing but a dark blue sky in their line of sight.

"Kavin, humara happily ever after kabhi aayega bhi?" questioned purvi, sceptical.

"Yahi toh hai... Happily ever after.." replied kavin, as purvi turned her glance to him.

"Yeh thunderstorm?" questioned purvi, confused.

"Nahi meri jaan, yeh ki tum aur main hain aisi jagah pe jahan sirf hum aur humara pyaar hai..." responded kavin.

"Shayad hamari life mein bas ek hi happily ever after hai hi nahi... Abhi toh bas do the, agle waale ke liye ready rahoge?" Asked purvi, as kavin nodded.

"Hum haar thodi manenge." Concluded kavin, as a smile came onto their faces.

The rain kept pouring, but the clouds started to clear, hope was found after all.
