Ishita, in complete horror, starts bursting into tears, as she lets out a loud scream. Her tears continuing to flow, as she sat down on the floor, hugging her knees.

"maa!" she screamed again, knowing there won't be an answer, there wasn't even the consolation of false hope.

"maa..." she said to herself, closing her eyes, as she buried her head onto her knees, hoping maybe, for all of this to be just a nightmare, somehow she just comes back.

It was only when dushyant's deadbody came in front of her eyes, that she got up immediately, petrified. she took out her phone from her purse, immediately dialed for neelu.

"hello, mummy ji..." started ishita the call.

Savita wakes up, with a flash of water thrown on her face, as she looks around, and finds a man with a heavy built, burly and tall, confused, only to find meghna and sameer in front of her.

"aap dono?" questioned savita, as she attempted to sit right up.

"yeh kahan hain hum, aur yeh ho kya raha hai?" asked savita, as she attempted to find some clues by looking around, when her glance fell on ankit, who was hit on the head with a hammer, already unconscious, he'll probably wake up with a concussion.

the man unroped ankit, as meghna was confused.

"isse kahan lekar jaa rahe ho?" demanded meghna for an answer, as the man not even bothering to look at her, picked up ankit like he was a little kid, fitting right into his arms.

"yeh galti se uthaya gaya hai, isse hamara koi problem nahi hai...aur isne kuch dekha nahi hai, toh bas iske sar pe maardiya hai taaki isse kuch yaad na rahe pichle do-teen ghante ka...sadak pe chod aayenge isse delhi..." stated the burly man, as he left all of them exactly the way they were before, the door closed, and they couldn't help but wonder, he couldn't possibly be behind all this.

"nahi madam, nahi aayi aaj woh....main khudh bada hairaan tha, savita kabhi 5 minute bhi late nahi hui...par, phone hi nahi laga...aur koi zariya tha hi nahi usse contact karne ka.." explained a man, as ishita sighed in distress, exchanging glances with neelu.

"chalo, bhaiya, thank you...batayenge aapko agar humein kuch pata chalta hai..." assured neelu, as she walked out with ishita.

neelu looked back once, an agency that provided domestic workers, a desk provided to savita, who would handle their grievances.

"savita se kabhi baitha hi nahi jaata tha na, shaanti se...hamesha usse kuch na kuch karna hi tha.." recounted neelu, as a smile came on ishita's face, who unlocked her car, with her keys.

"khudaari zyada hai unmein....bahaut kam pension milti hai...par mujhse paise kahan leti.." reminisced ishita, as neelu patted her back in consolation.

"mil jayegi, i'm pretty sure woh thik hain..." consoled neelu.

meghna, looked at savita with sympathy, she seemed to be so dehydrated, and someone who had done nothing to deserve this.

"aap thik hai?" asked meghna, with genuine concern, as savita looked at her with disdain.

"nahi..." replied savita bluntly, her glare moving over to sameer.

"maine kaha tha ishita ko, mat kar yahan shaadi, jab ghar mein aisa aadmi ho, uss ghar mein kabhi shaanti ho hi nahi sakti.." remembered savita bitterly, as sameer just shook his head in disbelief.

"yeh, ab meri galti kaise hai! main khudh kya yahan koi bahamas ki vacation le raha hoon!" exclaimed sameer, as meghna rolled her eyes.

"sameer, tumse jab bardaasht nahi hua ki tumhari beti mere bete se pyaar karti hai, toh tumne logon ko usse marwaane bhej diya! iss baar bas tum par ulta bhaari pad gaya hai!" argued meghna.

"acha, tumhare bete pe 10 logon ke murder case lag sakta hai! doodh ka dhula nahi hai woh! aur unn bachon ko kya laga, jaakar maarke aa jayenge kuch logon ko aur koi nahi aayega unke peeche! abhi unmein se ek, jinka ladka maara usne, 18 saal ka ho gaya hai ek ladka uska...bande aa rahe the mere bete aur mere damaad ke peeche, pregnant thi meri beti! maine dekha ki unn logon ko bhadkao, idhar-udhar ghoomaon, unn sab se door rakhoon, isse pehle kuch karoon unka..kuch permanent..bas, unhe pata chal gaya, utha liya mujhe! main dushman nahi hoon apne bachon ka! tum batao, tum shaadi karaati apni beti ke aisi family mein jahanpe unka murder karke chupaa hua hai?" ranted sameer, as even meghna got mum, and sameer just looked away.

"meri jagah koi bhi hota hai, karta yeh hi....mere bachon ko nahi samajhna, na samjhein..par maine hamesha unki bhalai ka hi socha hai." defended sameer himself, as savita just scoffed.

"aur meri beti ne kya jurm kiya tha?" interjected savita, as sameer was left speechless.

                                                               ***

Purvi, who was staring at the boiling tea on the teapot, burning from the flame below it.

Kavin, who was serving tea, for both of them, as he poured it from the pot into the cups with a sieve in between, seperating the tea leaves, purvi entered the kitchen, finding everything that could possibly be put in a tea, on the counter.

cloves, cardamom, ginger...as she just glared at kavin.

"tumhe kitne baar bola hai, chaye ko kadha mat banao..." rebuked purvi as kavin chuckled.

"batao, ab sabka swaad ek hi baari mein nahi aaya, toh usmein kya maza?" argued kavin, as purvi just shook her head in disbelief.

"arre kadha hi sahi, peelo....mere bache ko toh bahaut pasand hai, ab tumhe bhi aadat daalni padegi.." remarked kavin, as purvi just chuckled at the absurdity of his sentence.

she was bought back to earth, when her phone buzzed from a notification, she could care less about who was messaging what to her, but when more beeps followed, she had to, to stop the growing irritation from it.

it was an unknown number, a photo was sent to her, she clicked on the number, only for what she saw to leave her dreaded and shocked, and the phone fell from her hands.

it was a photo of kavin, the same clothes his deadbody was in...as his face was not completely meshed yet, while his arms and neck were burnt....but that wasn't there on the deadbody...what if she was wrong? what if he wasn't dead after all?
