As soon as kinn entered the room khun kan got startled, he didn’t expect his nephew to be there. He quickly changed from shouting angry human to loving smiling boss who was concerned about his injured bodyguards, as if everyone present there doesn’t know how much of a lie was that concern. ‘Hello kinn, what brings you here’ kan asked kinn surprisingly, ‘nothing uncle, I just got to know that both your and Vegas’ main bodyguard got severely injured, so I just came to visit them, as they have been serving minor family for long, it’s our courtesy to visit them and know about their well being and help them in anyway, after all we are a family’.

‘We are family this can be the biggest joke of the year’, vegas thought to himself. Be it kan, kinn, vegas or any family member or bodyguard from either family. Everyone knows that they are anything but family, always ready to point guns at each other, shed each other’s blood, but to keep other gangs under their thumb they have no choice but to work together. Because the moment the world will get to know that Theerapanyakul family broke up, their dominance will weaken and this can’t be afforded by either of the clan.

When kan and kinn were talking to each other Vegas’ attention was constantly diverting towards pete, who now was standing behind the kinn with his head down. For the few seconds when their eyes met some sort of friction happened and then suddenly pete realized that vegas caught him looking and he immediately bowed to both kan and vegas and stood behind kinn with his head down as he no longer can keep his head up knowing that vegas might be looking at him. On the other hand, vegas felt a little uneasy, he wanted to look at pete and wanted to know what happened between them and why he was thinking so much about that ‘bloody bodyguard’, ‘our eyes met and then we both looked away, that’s it. It was hardly 3-4 secs, he didn’t catch anything, he didn’t notice anything. That's it stop thinking so much’ vegas scolded himself while thinking.   

‘Uncle kan, since your 2 loyal and very efficient bodyguards are not in charge, I would like to offer you my personal bodyguards, big and pete. They are very efficient and loyal and you’ll have no problem.’ Kinn said to khun kan, ‘yes ofcourse efficient in spying and loyal to you’, kan thought to himself, ‘oh no kinn there is no need we have plenty of other bodyguards as well we don’t have any issue.’ ‘Oh please uncle kan, I insist, whatever the differences we may have, but we can’t take risk with each other’s safety right. They both are highly trained who will never let anything happen to you.’ Kinn said it although it more looked like he pressured him to take them, to which kan finally agreed and before anyone could say anything else, vegas said something suddenly which made pete raise his head in shock.

‘Since it’s decided then big can be pa’s bodyguard and pete can be mine’ vegas said suddenly

Both Kan and kinn looked at Vegas who was silent before blowing up like this, even pete looked at him in shocked and big looked at Pete while pitying him silently, because everyone knows that being Vegas’ bodyguard is not easy. He takes out all his anger and frustrations several times on his bodyguards and since Pete is from a major family, he will leave no stone unturned to make his life horrible.

After this it was decided that big and pete will join the minor family. They went back to major clan’s house to pick up their necessities and while on their way kinn talked to pete and big, ‘finally our plan is in action, but since I literally forced them to take you both, you guys will be constantly on their radar, so you have to be very-very discreet and try not to get any kind of unwanted attention, all the best guys.’ Kinn said to both and left the car as they reached the major family’s mansion. ‘All the best big, lets get done with this’, pete said to big, to which the latter replied while patting his shoulder, ‘all the best to you too pete, you need this luck more than me’.

Pete POV

I reached my room, big’s voice echoed in my ear ‘you need this luck more than me’, do I!!!

‘Is Vegas is really that of a monster!!! Will vegas take out all his frustrations on me since I am from a major family!!!  It is possible though, but why don’t I feel anything like this !!! instead of being scared why I am more excited to be his bodyguard!!! And what was that quick reaction he gave while choosing the bodyguard!!! I was already sure that khun kinn would place me with vegas and big with khun kan since this is how we were following them and it would have been easy this way, but why did vegas choose me like this suddenly !!!’

‘Oh god I am going to get mad, I must stop this overthinking, any single second I spent in vegas’ present, I start to overthink about it. I must stop this. Pete you are going there for a mission and you have to stay focused ok. Vegas is nothing but our enemy and I have to gather as much information as possible without getting distracted or overthinking about vegas, but what if vegas is also thinking about me, probably that’s why he chose me because our eyes met and he also felt something like I did…..o god stupid pete stop it, stop thinking about vegas.’ I literally pulled the hair of my head to stop this roller coaster of thoughts.

By the evening me and big arrived at the minor mansion, where we were received by Nop, we knew him, he was a minor family’s bodyguard. He was trained with us after that he was assigned to a minor family. He was quiet, speaking only when required kind of a guy. So, when I tried to talk to him to get something out of him, he didn’t speak much, just that, ‘this house is very much different from major, so whatever you do, do it carefully and always keep your head low.’ Although that was not our plan, but I guess this is what was required to survive in a minor family. After that he showed us our room, here we had a separate room and mine was adjacent to big’s. we were supposed to start our job from tomorrow morning so tonight was the time for me to grasp this whole situation and to prepare myself to face tomorrow and to face vegas regularly without doing anything stupid and to complete this mission without any mistake.

Vegas POV

‘You idiot, are you now interested in that dog of a major family, is that why you jumped up so quickly to appoint him as your bodyguard. Listen, I don’t want any trouble because of you, fuck whosoever you want I don’t care but if it harms my way to up and major family gets on my nerve because of your stupidity, then I will kill you with my own hand, so better keep your distance with that bodyguard, do you understand.’ My dad warned me after kinn left and to be honest the very first line he said to me, I can’t deny it totally, because even I don’t understand why I did that, why I was so quick and excited to appoint pete to myself. It’s not like I am interested in him or he is my type in any way. Something is there which is forcing me towards him and I to have to stop it or…. suddenly the sadist in me woke up, ‘I could use this opportunity to kill my curiosity for him and teach that dog that actually how a bodyguard should be treated as he was following me, at least he should get some reward for it. Be ready pete to serve me well otherwise you’ll have to learn it the hard way... hahaha.’
