Joyce rushed to the door when she heard a knock hoping it was Hopper coming with more news about Will. "Hi." Jess smiled from the doorstep making Joyce sigh in slight relief needing someone for comfort. "I thought I'd come round to see if you need some company. After what all happened last night."

"Um.."

"You okay?" Jess furrowed her eyebrows.

"Please don't judge me when you come in okay?"

"Uh yeah okay." Jess stuttered out of confusion as Joyce walked back into the house, Jess closing the door behind her as she finally realised all the christmas lights hung round the ceiling and walls.

"You know you don't have to stand there with your mouth wide open you can ask questions." Joyce chuckled quietly.

"Um.. I ummm. Wh-"

"You know how the lamp flickered yesterday?" Jess hummed in response. " I thought if I put loads on it would increase the possibility of me being able to connect him."

"Through the lights?"

"I knew it you think I'm crazy!" Joyce sighed.

"No. No. No. Joyce you're anything but crazy. It's just hard to take in. It's not everyday a boy goes missing to some place you don't know. It's not only difficult for me to process but also you. But I don't think you're crazy. No let me make you some food." Just then the bell rang as Jess designated herself to open it.

"Oh hey Karen."

"Jess. How lovely it feels like so long since I've seen you."

"You too. And look you Holly, look how big you've grown." Jess picked up holly in a hug as she let Karen in telling her Joyce was in the kitchen. Karen had bought a casserole round. They all sat round the small table, Holly sitting on Jess's lap as she fiddled with the rings on her finger as Joyce made up an excuse to Karen about the lights.

Holly then got off Jess's lap to go to the toilet but the lights started flickering in the hallway which distracted her as she followed them into Will's room. "Oh, where's Holly?" Karen say out loud. Joyce shared a look at Jess before they speed off to Will's room, Jess picking her up after she found her staring at the wall.

"Hey sweetie. You can't be in here this is a boy's room. It smells too much." Jess giggled calmly making Holly smile as Jess handed her to Karen. Joyce looked at Holly when she noticed her keep staring at the wall.

"Hey did you see something?" Holly nodded. "What did... what did you see? Tell me. What did you see? What-" Joyce rambled loudly till Karen interrupted her. "Listen Karen, thank you for the casserole, but I need you to leave. Okay?' Karen sighs as she lets Joyce show her out.

"I should leave aswell." Jess awkwardly pointed to the door with her coat in hand.

"Oh my god. I'm sorry if freaked you out there or something. But I just feel like-"

"Joyce. Joyce it's okay." Jess chuckled holding her hand. "Seriously I wish I could stay but I promised Claudia I'd pick up Dustin. She has an extra shift, but if you want me to I'll be back later." Joyce nodded as jess sighed with sympathy bringing her into a hug. "I'll be back as soon as I can I promise." Jess broke the hug and waved goodbye before driving off.
