Chapter 5: Shut up Bitch

"Okay well,it's fine, okay? Marcus totally gets it. He doesn't want a war any more than we do." Viktor said sitting down
"Viktor i hate to break it to you but I've known Marcus since the day I first shit my pants and he is always looking for a fight." I said and he sighed
"Maybe he's changed?" Viktor asked and I leaned back in my chair
"What are you talking about? He tried to homicide us!" Diego exclaimed
I took this chance of everyone being distracted to sneak my foot over to five and rub his left lightly which caused him to sit up quickly and I laid my hand on my palm acting innocent.
"So did Lila and you had a kid with her." Klaus argued back as my foot lifted higher on fives leg and he coughed which made me turned my head to him.
"Stop." He mouthed and I winked at him.
"That's not the point!" Diego said back.
"Listen, we made a deal. He's gonna give back Fives briefcase, then we're gonna get out of this timeline." I felt sadness overcome me. He was just going to leave? And not tell me about it? My whole mood changed as I retracted my foot from five and stared at the floor.
"We're gonna meet later today for the,uh, the handover." Viktor said and everyone smiled except Diego and I
"Oh thank god!" Klaus exclaimed
"That's a rookie move. Dude is playing you." Diego said looking down. Five kicked me under the table. I gave him a disgusted look followed by me flipping him off and he gave me a shocked look.
"Oh really?" Viktor said challengingly
"Yeah, but maybe we can use this. And we turn it back on them and then we wipe them the hell out." Diego said but then his eyes shot to me.
"You can't be hearing this." He said before standing up and grabbing me by the collar
"Let's go Barbie." He said as he dragged me towards the exit.
"Get your hands off me freak!" I yelled and he pushed me to the ground.
"Shut up bitch!" Diego yelled at me
"Diego stop!" Five yelled and Diego turned to his brother.
"You know she tried to get with you yesterday when you were knocked out." Diego told his brother and five gave me a shocked look.
"That's not true!" I said as tears threatened my eyes
"Get out." Diego said as I wiped the tears now running down my face and walked outside.
I had to calm down before heading back home so I sat on the stairs for nearly 20 minutes.
"Y/n?" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see five and klaus.
"Hi." I said sniffling.
"Klaus give us a second." Five said and his brother went off to find a car to steal.
He sat down on the step next to me.
"Is what Diego said true?" He said looking at me and I looked at the ground.
"If I remember correctly we went up to your room and drank and then you asked me to kiss you so I did and then things escalated and Diego and Klaus walked in but you were so drunk you fell asleep. I'm sorry." I said as tears formed in my eyes again. He placed a hand on my back which caused me to tense up.
"Me and Klaus are going on a road trip if you'd like to come. As a sort of....second date thing." He said embarrassed and I looked at him.
"Of course I would. But what about what you said about going back to your timeline?" I asked
"Eh, i like this one now,because I know you." He said smiling as he grabbed my hand and jumped us to the car Klaus had stolen. I sat in the middle seat in the back and Five and Klaus sat in the front with Klaus driving.
"Alright Lovebirds! Pennsylvania, here we come!" Klaus exclaimed starting up the car as I held fives hand.

Luther POV:
As I sat down eating the food the Sparrows had given me I saw Alphonso stare.
"What?" I asked him and he glared even harder.
"Our sister Y/n has been missing since this morning. She says she went for a run but Feis bird cannot find her anywhere." Ben said and I looked at them all.
"Have you not heard?" I asked and they shook their heads
"Five and Y/n are like a thing now, they went on a date yesterday." I explained and they laughed
"What?"
"That "date" was just a plan for us to find out your intentions with our family. And Y/n has succeeded. But our question is...
Where the hell is our sister?!" Ben yelled
"Told you she would get pregnant." Fei snickered
"I don't know! Probably with Five!" I exclaimed and Ben smiled
"Good, that gives me another reason to kill him." Ben said and my eyes went wide
Y/n is a trap!

Y/ns POV:
"This song sucks." I said as we made our way down the highway.
"It's retirement music Y/n. The song of old farts like your boyfriend here." Klaus said and I rolled my eyes
"He's not my boyfriend." I muttered and noticed five look at me through the rear view mirror.
"Not yet." He said quietly but I heard him.
"This actually isn't so terrible." Five said looking out the window
"See? Told you." Klaus said and I laughed whiles balancing fives hat on my face trying to block out the sun.
"Come to think of it my whole life I've been under the gun. Missions for dad, working for the commission, trying to survive the apocalypse." Five said and I looked up.
"Whats a commission..is that like a postal service?" I said and he nodded
"Exactly." He said as I grabbed his hand again and he squeezed mine.
"I was always looking around every corner just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's nice to just breathe." Five said and I squeezed his hand again.
"Good for you, man. Retirement is suiting you." Klaus said
"Klaus." I said annoyed and letting go of fives hand
"What?" He said shocked
"Tell, him." I said and klaus scoffed
"Tell me what?" Five said intrigued.
"Shut up Y/n! And stop reading my mind!" He said annoyed and I punched his shoulder
"No!"
"Fine!" I said leaning back
There was a comfortable silence before five say up
"Oh! Uh all right. So I've circled all the roadside attractions along the way." He said grabbing a map from the glovebox
"Oh. I'm not sure we're gonna have time.." klaus said
"We have the Brownsville Big Nickel."
"That's just a big coin." I said confused
"It's a cool coin Y/n!" Five said excitedly smiling back at me and I nodded
"I think you've lost sense of what the word cool means." I said and he rolled his eyes
"Oh. Ricky's Bakery, has award winning pies." Five said to his brother pointing at the map.
"If you just let me explain.." klaus said and I sat up.
"Yeah explain klaus." I said annoyed as I read his mind again
"Or there this Cow henge." Five said ignoring us.
"That's it—dont." Five smiled and I smiled too
"Listen to me. Just shut up for two seconds, okay?" Klaus said and I patted fives shoulder as he lost his smile
"Just two seconds, alright?" Klaus said and Five shut up.
"Okay, I'm all ears." Five said
"We are going to Pennsylvania to find my birth mother. Yay!" Klaus told Five and he got annoyed
"Excuse me?" Five said
"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry," klaus said and the car swerved but I used my telekinesis to keep it straight.
"Watch the road Klaus." I said and he put his eyes back on the road.
"I just needed somebody to come with me for emotional support." Klaus said
"Oh, emotional support, like a schnauzer?" Five asked offended
"I knew you would t come if I told you, so what was I supposed to do?" Klaus said
Five scoffed
"You're goddamn right I wouldn't have come, Klaus. You know why?" Five asked and I rolled my eyes laying down.
"Because I'm supposed to be retired! Plus this is my second date with Y/n and you're ruining it!" Five yelled at his brother.
"I know! I'm sorry okay?!" Klaus said
"This was supposed to be a carefree road trip." Five complained
"We'll it still can be, babe." Klaus said and the car went quiet again.
"Ball of Twine? Klaus, turn!" Five said as he spotted a sign.
He grabbed the wheel and the cars swerved
"Ball of Twine! Turn!" He said turning the wheel and my head hit off the car door.
"Ow!" I yelled
"What? Five! Five!" Klaus yelled
"This is one of the best ones! Come one!" Five yelled at his brother.
"Five we're gonna die!" Klaus yelled as we nearly hit a car. I slid across the car and hit my head again.
"Wheee!!!" I yelled in excitement.
"I don't care! Let go!" He yelled as we turned the corner.
"You know what? No twine, no birth mother!" Five yelled as we sped off to the ball of twine
"Five! Calm down! I'm bleeding!" I yelled as blood gushed from my head because of the hitting off the car door so many times.

We stood in front of an underwhelming ball of twine.
"Yeah, you know. I don't know why, but I thought it would be a lot bigger." Klaus said as I looked up at the twine standing next to five with some cotton to my head as the bleeding stopped
"Seems pretty big to me." Five said back as he looked up
"Ehhh." Klaus whined
"Here's the real question. How do you know your birth mother is in Pennsylvania?" Five asked turning to klaus and grabbing my hand.
"Well because I was on the ass end of a two week bender, and I can't tell you the exact date because we were voicing Xanax and the whole business, but Amy Winehouse was at the top of the charts. So that puts us somewhere, where? In the mid to late aughts?" He asked and I nodded.
"I helped myself into dads office looking for the key to his safe because he had Pogo lock up all the stealables. But instead I found a treasure trove of our family history told in expired check stubs." He said and I read into the twos mind to find their family's history.
I found fives mother to be a Catherine O Donnell from Dublin, Ireland. She was a butcher.
And Klaus' mother a Rachel Herschberger. She was from Pennsylvania and got three thousand from Reginald.
"I was too messed up to uh do anything about it, too scared to look her up. But always in the back of my mind, I wondered why she sold me off for three grand. I mean come on she couldn't have held out for five? Six?" Five said as I walked back to the car to sit down. My head was spinning because I had taken in too much information at once. My powers suck btw.
"You see anything about my mother?" Five asked as I walked back up to the too.
"No sorry."
"I did. I read your mind." I said and five turned to me.
"Well?"
"Her name was Catherine O' Donnell and she was from Dublin in Ireland. She sold you for ten grand. She was a well known local butcher and won many awards." I said and five smiled
"I'm Irish?" He said and I nodded
"Yep," I said as placed my hand on his shoulder.
"Why now?" Five asked klaus turning back to him.
"Well, duh. Dad disowns us. Grace isn't Grace. Bens....gone. Now just felt like a good time as any to find out who I could've been if I didn't grow up in this stupid family." Klaus said looking down.
"Well, can you call what we had a family."
"If it makes you guys feel better I think any family Reginald Hargreeves created is a shit one. Including mine." I said and the two stared at the ball of twine again.
"No. It's more like a—" klaus began.
"Institute for snarky Delinquents." Five said back sarcastically.
Klaus and I laughed at this and Five smiled interlocking our fingers again.
"And not a good one at that." Five laughed
"But what is family? What is it? It's like some kind of giant..ball of twine that can never be untangled." Klaus said gesturing to the landmark in front of us.
"A giant ball of obligation. I've been pushing uphill my entire life." Five said
"And the older you get, the bigger it gets. And the more you untangle it." Klaus said
"You watch it roll down the hill." Five said not listening to his brother before they all chimes in in unison.
"What's the point." They said
"Hey, I'm glad you came along. You're a good brother." Klaus said and I smiled lightly as I laid my head on fives shoulder.
"All right, all right. You say nice things about me now." Klaus said and I chuckled.
"Let's go find your stupid mother." Five said dragging me back to the car.
"Love you too, tiny dancer!" Klaus exclaimed running and hugging Five behind his back.
"Ugh klaus get off!"
"No fair!Y/n doesn't get you all to herself!" Klaus complained and I laughed.
