With the plan to solve what happened to your mom still fresh in yours and Yelena's minds you know that the only way to keep the less chaotic life as your future, that you need to solve this. Before you commit every ounce of your energy into this you want a typical day with Wanda. You meet her at the hanger, you take the quinjet to Ireland, the green fields overtake you as you land on the grass. You take her hand and bring her to a cliff overlooking the valleys. You sit on the grass looking out across the terrain, the warmth of the sun causes you to squint. You feel Wanda hold onto your hand as you two sit in silence, this was the one time you felt comfortable with silence. She rests her head on your shoulder, she can't see it but your smile encapsulates all of your happiness. You stay there until the sun starts to set, this moment would be a memory you would always hold onto. As you get ready to leave you to see a silhouette in the sunset. You don't know how but you instantly know who it is, your brother. It must be from the memories you and your mother shared.

"Wanda start up the jet, I'll be right there." You say to her.

"Is everything okay?" She looks at you worried.

"Yeah, just need to check something out before we go."

You walk closer to the silhouette eventually the devilish smile on his face presents itself to you. This smile was enough to let you know that something was about to go down, you can't have Wanda get hurt so you make a call that will most likely end in Wanda yelling at you when you see her again.

"FRIDAY, lock the jet and take it home." You utter under your breath so Wanda doesn't hear you.

"But sir..." FRIDAY responds.

"Do it!" You hear the locks click in the distance and the whir of the engines resonate through the fields. You finally walk as close as you can to your brother, and his smile fades.

"Why did you have to remove her from this? I was going to have some fun with her brother." He says inciting a wave of anger deep down in your soul.

"You will never hurt her do you understand that Damien?"

"And who is going to stop me? Mom? Oh wait, you had her trapped in Hell." He steps closer trying to intimidate you.

"Alistair, you know what is going to happen here."

"That's not my name." You snap back.

"Oh that's right it's Y/N? Well either way it doesn't matter your mortal love will mourn over it the same way. Of course, that is if I let her live." This enrages you, causing your swords to shoot out and meet his neck.

"Well kill me then." He says with a smirk.

"Oh, you don't do killing, do you? Mom always told us you were supposed to be the strongest, but she was wrong." He summons a dagger plunging it into your stomach.

"What a waste, this proves two things; you are not meant to be a god and your mortal fell in love with another dead man." Your sword meets his neck once again but this time slashing his veins, this spews blood all over the grass making what was once green now red. You bend down to his ear, whispering a statement that will be the last thing he hears.

"Mom was right, you were a lazy excuse for a son." You retract the sword back into you and collapse onto the tree nearby.

"FRIDAY, what do my vitals look like?"

"Sir, they aren't good. Would you like me to contact Tony to send a ship to pick you up?" You sigh and agree.

A wave of thunder covers the sky as the jet appears, you instantly know this is the doing of Thor. You were right as Thor steps out of the jet, he walks over to you stepping over Damien's body.

"Who was that?" He asks as he helps you up.

"That was my brother Damien." You utter.

"You killed your brother?!" He exclaims.

"I had no choice, Thor can I ask you something."

"Sure."

"Being a god, is it worth it?"

"Worth what?"

"Giving up everything and everyone you love."

"Who said you had to do that to be a god, and what god is asking this?" He sits you down in the jet and returns to the driver's seat.

"Me."

"You?" He says shocked.

"Since my mom is now trapped in Hell they need a new god of revenge, and my brothers and sisters are apparently worse than my mother."

"So you have to be the god?"

"I think I do, how do I do this?"

"You follow your heart, a true god's heart is pure. Have you told Wanda?" He asks.

"Would you tell the person you have been in love with for over a year that you are going to leave to become a god after you and them just got together?"

"Fair point, how long until you leave?"

"Let's just say you will be returning alone." The silence covers you both as you feel yourself be pulled out of the jet, the thought of Wanda not getting a goodbye causes your tears to chase you as you fly through the sky. Eventually, your flight comes to a halt as you land in a room that holds the council of gods.

"Alistair, child of Nemesis the goddess of retribution welcome to Olympus." You look to see the 12 gods that controlled the matter of all the gods below them. One by one you saw the faces and names assigned to them from memories coming from your mother, there was: Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, Apollo, Athena, Artemis, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus.

"Um, sir that is not my name." You utter with a shy tone.

"It is now," Zeus demands.

"Every god should have a name that stems from the Greek origin, you are not exempt from our rules."

"Yes sir." You reply.

"You have been brought before the council to answer the call to take over your mother's position, a position you chose to take from her in exchange for the life of a mortal." Zeus continues.

"Zeus that is not why we are here." Hades snaps.

"Brother may I remind you that you are new to this council and you can be removed." Hades quiets himself.

"You value a mortal's life more than your own mothers, who is a god. Why?" Zeus continues this time more enraged. You sit there not knowing what to say.

"SPEAK!" Zeus yells.

"Because I love her." Zeus laughs at this.

"You really are your mother's kid, but on with the purpose of this meeting. Do you Alistair child of Nemesis agree to take over as the god of retribution, this power holds the responsibility to not only handle the justice of gods but now the justice of mortals with godlike powers."

"Yes, I do."

"Good, as leader of this council I announce that Alistair child of Nemesis is not Alistair god of retribution." Everyone claps, and you sit there with a new weight resting on your shoulders.
