Kaldur groaned and sat up, his head aching. He moved his hand over his head before finding a patch of dried blood.

Black Manta.

He looked over and saw Madison sleeping next to him peacefully and Kaldur tried to ignore the suspicious feeling growing in his chest.

Kaldur lifted up his hand and looked at the flashdrive before getting up and grabbing his computer. He glanced at Madison before stepping out the door and plugging it in, not even bothering to bring the device to Nightwing in case of bugs.

His eyes widened at the sight before him.

Madison walked through a hallway, following after Klarion. There was no sound, but Madison was with Klarion.

The two of them sat down in a room and began to talk for a minute before Madison threw a book at the witch boy.

Kaldur could tell by Madison's facial expressiona that she was upset for most of their conversation, but the fact that she had it...

Kaldur's dislike for Klarion the witch boy was no secret. Their bitter fued had began when he used magic to create two separate worlds for children and adults.

Kaldur had immediate noticed the way Klarion acted toward Madison and his hatred only grew after Klarion did something to Madison when she was on a mission with Roy and Artemis, separated from him and Wally.

He had been so scared that night, watching as she crawled around and held her head in her hands, crying and screaming for almost an hour on the other side of Klarion's shield before Dr. Fate finally arrived and set her loose.

She had once been friends with Klarion, but Madison assured everyone that their relationship was gone.

Looking at this tape, Kaldur could no longer believe her. She had willingly walked into the home of a supervillian and spoke to him. Without backup.

He shut the computer.

If Madison didn't trust Klarion not to kill her, she would have never done that.

Which meant that there was still something between them.

The door behind him opened and Madison stepped through, rubbing her eyes and looking around.

"Kaldur." She held up a pillow with a small amount of blood on it before spotting his wound. She quickly dropped the pillow and rushed forward to examine his head. "Why are you bleeding?"

He pulled away and stood up from the hanging bench, surprising Madison.

Kaldur was at loss for words for a moment before he simply opened the computer. Madison looked at the screen for a moment.

"That was last night." She stated simply.

"I thought you went to Connor." He said.

Madison nodded. "I did. We talked and then I left."

"And you went to talk to Klarion?" Kaldur asked, an edge rising in his voice.

"He's the one who started this." Madison answered. "I wanted answers. I'm tired of not being able to help."

"And what did he tell you?" Kaldur asked quietly.

"Zatara." She immediately replied. "Klarion has been watching the League through him. That's really the only useful information I got."

"So you're deflecting." Kaldur decided.

"What?"

"You just go up to Klarion the witch boy and have a nice little conversation!?" Kaldur demanded. "You expect me not to be suspicious? How do you know he wasn't going to kill you?"
