Black Manta paced back and forth in the hallway, waiting for Deathstroke to arrive and initiate their plan to capture the young, female Martian.

It was during the raid on the Reach ship that Ms. Martian crossed paths with Kaldur and brain blasted the boy, cracking his son's mind and putting him in a catatonic state.

So Black Manta planed to capture the Martian and force her to fix the damage in his son's mind. Deathstroke was a vital part of that plan.

But Deathstroke wasn't the first of Black Manta's allies to appear in the hallway.

A red portal opened and Klarion practically jumped out of it, landing directly in front of Black Manta with his signature smirk.

"Hiya!" Klarion grinned. "I've come to fix your kid."

Black Manta blinked. "But you're a chaos lord."

Klarion blew a raspberry. "Oh please, you think that forcing cells to regenerate at in incredible pace is order? Nope! Neither is grabbing the pieces of someone's mind and shoving them back together."

Klarion winked. "See, order expects things to simply work on their own. Heal like normal. Chaos knows no such limitations."

Black Manta narrowed his eyes. "You didn't tell the other members of the Light that you were capable of this. They had needed such a skill many times."

"Yeah? Well that's boring." Klarion rolled his eyes. "Besides, you're not going to ruin my little secret are you? Your son's life is at stake after all."

"Why would you want to help Kaldur?" Manta demanded. "Last I knew, you both hated each other's guts."

Klarion nodded. "Oh we do, absolutely. But now there's a few people I hate more and only Kaldur can help me out."

Manta glared. "You will not put my son in-"

"Oh hush!" Klarion exclaimed. "Just let me fix your kiddie already, would you? If it doesn't work, I'll let you stab me or something."

Klarion pushed past Black Manta into a bare bedroom, where Kaldur was laying on the bed, his eyes blank.

"What a wimp." Klarion huffed, flicking Kaldur's forehead.

He was suddenly yanked into the other teenager's mind and Klarion looked around at the ruins of Atlantis.

"Lame. My mind is a volcano setting." Klarion stated. "But Addison has an orphanage, so at least this isn't as lame as her's."

He looked around and spotted Kaldur.

"Who- who are you?" Kaldur muttered, looking at Klarion distantly.

"I liked it much more when you were angry at me." Klarion told the former hero before flicking Kladur in the forehead.

Kaldur stumbled back and groaned as the ruins of Atlantis began to rise up, forming the beautiful city once more. Klarion grimaced in disgust.

Kaldur suddenly returned to his usual self.

Klarion smirked. "Hello, fish boy."

Kaldur's eyes widened and he tried to reach for his weapons, but they were gone.

"What are you doing? Where are we?" Kaldur demanded.

Klarion gestured around the place. "The magic academy in Atlantis, I assume. But, also, we're in your mind."

Kaldur glared. "You fixed me. Why?"

Klarion paced lazily. "Well, I do hate you, fish boy, but you're of use to me now. We share a common enemy and I know you're working against him."
