His grip on my arm was firm, I was definitely not going to get out easily. I didn't want to tell him. I was embarrassed about it all. I shouldn't be jealous anymore. Me and Kaeya are not together anymore. "I.." was all I could mutter out before the tears made their presence.

"Y/n, you need to tell me what's going on." Diluc explained, loosening his grip on my arm. The customers started to get annoyed about how there was no bartender behind the counter. "We should get back to work-"

"Not until you tell me." Diluc was firmer now. I took a deep breath and told him everything. Me and Kaeya's relationship and how it went sour. His reaction was expected but what he said next wasn't.

"That's my brother" Diluc said.

My eyes widened almost immediately, the shook sent me back two steps. They're....brothers? Diluc's whole demeanor changed. His facial expression was enough to send chills down my spine. I could almost smell this man's anger. Without warning, he was out of my line of view and was heading directly for my ex. Oh boy. Should I intervene? Kaeya was laughing with his new chick when Diluc grabbed him by the collar.

"You need to leave." He said, staring daggers into Kaeya's skull. I was shuffling through the people like I was playing Hitman or something. I tried my best to conceal my presence as I wanted to watch the action. "Now now. No need to get all feisty there, Diluc." Kaeya giggles.

"Did I stutter?" Diluc's voice became sharper. Kaeya shifted his attitude as he realized this was serious. "What is the matter?" Kaeya asked, raising one eyebrow in confusion. "Outside" is all Diluc said. They both exited the tavern. I really wanted to know what was going on, but I had to work. Not to mention, I have barely been behind the counter. Oh what a day. About ten minutes later, Diluc steps back into the tavern. Just Diluc. "What happened-"

"Shhhh." Diluc said, pressing his finger onto my lips. "Don't worry about it. He won't be back here."

He moved passed me towards the drinks. My face must have been bright red because a customer asked if I was drunk. Well he pressed his finger...

Thinking of it caused the butterflies in my stomach to go heywire. I just stood there, replaying that one event in my head. "Hey. These drinks aren't gonna make themselves." Diluc giggled, nudging my arm. I laughed in response, turning around to help finish out on our shift.

After we closed up, Diluc offered to walk me home. Which I, of course, agreed. We started walking when the vibe dropped into a sad zone. "Hey I'm sorry, about my brother." he said, stopping in his tracks. I turned to face him, he looked so concerned for me. I walked towards him until I was face to face with him. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. His loss." I replied, laughing to lighten up the mood. Diluc smiled softly at my attempt to make the situation better. "Yeah his loss for sure." he finally said, making my head turn. He didn't say anything else and just kept walking.

Then we got to my house, unfortunately. I stood in my doorway, looking at him smiling. "Thank you." I said. "Not a problem." he responded, waving me goodbye. Before closing my door, I ran up to him and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodnight Diluc." I whispered, giving him a cute little smile as I ran back into my house. He gently placed his hand on the area I kissed with a shocked look on his face. After his fingers made contact with his skin, he lightly smiled. He looked back towards me and said,

"Sleep well Y/n."
