A Match Made in Hell

"Huh?" Mumei looks over to Moona, just as confused, "Did I miss something?" Moona says in disbelief, "well Ayame was possessing Iroha no? Maybe she had talks and developments with her in her head." Mumei suggests, and the two looks back down at the arena.

In 1779, Iroha certainly did take a cursed blade and did take down her kingdom and free the prisoners. However, Iroha did NOT, destroy the entire Japanese empire. She certainly left a gaping wound in its forces eventually forcing the Japanese to only train those trustable to become samurai, ending the age of samurai in 1876.
But on the night of the kingdoms fall...

A gate opens and people run out, "Run that way up the stairs, no one's gonna stop you now." Iroha says while directing the prisoners, she checks the cell and sees someone in the corner, "hello? The gates open you're free to go..." she enters the cell and in the corner a girl with blue hair and blue tipped horns turns around, pink eyes and one large black strand of hair. On the wall next to her a rune forms. She vanishes into the shadow and the rune glows a deep red. A bell tolls and crows caw. A black smoke emerges from the rune and fills the cell. From the corner where the girl sat a glowing orb flies to the center of the smoke and the smoke materializes into a person, this person, is Ayame. She falls to the ground and she's skinny and weak looking, she stares at Iroha and her eyes widen. She turns to smoke again and flies into Irohas blade and invades her mind.

"Y-You... human girl... help me out... please..." Ayame says in Irohas head, Iroha ignores her and continues to let prisoners out, "L-Look I just need one soul... just to live... if I don't get one I'll die here come on..." Ayame persists, Iroha reaches a cell with an actual prisoner, "this man has taken many innocent lives, even these corrupt soldiers deme him a piece of trash." Iroha says, she pulls her blade out and opens the gate, "here's your soul... but after this I need you gone.". Iroha walks to the man and steps on his chest then stabs down on his neck.
"Ooooohhh~ that feels nice... there's a breeze in here." Ayame says, and Iroha just grunts and walks out of the cell, "Alright! Now let's get some more souls!" Ayame says cheerfully.
"Why aren't you out of my sword, there's only room for one curse in there you know." Iroha asks. While shaking her sword. "Oh come on don't be like that! Don't you feel this surging power? We both know now that you have a couple more kingdoms you owe a visit to don't you?" Ayame reasons, Iroha stares down the hallway, "So you're just invading my thoughts now?" Iroha asks annoyed
"Well it can't be helped! Look, I can give you power to defeat your enemies and help the innocent, and you can help me get some souls to consume. Ok?" Ayame explains.
"I don't need your help." Iroha while walking up the stairs.

She suddenly stops, around her the sun darkens and she can barely see a few feet ahead of her, the rest is black she looks around and can't see a thing, "Listen." Ayame says boldly, "I don't NEED to ask you... but I am anyway." She continues. The air around Iroha thickens with smoke, and the light returns as a blood red scenery with flames and destruction. Iroha comes to senses and she's on top of one of the prisoners with her sword to his throat, "Understand? I don't like all this Oni stuff and quite frankly I'd rather live peaceful, but I can't live like that and you have enemies, so we're a perfect match."
Iroha gets off of the prisoner and throws her blade into a nearby well. she runs away from it and out of the kingdom, but she looks to her left and the blade is sitting against a wall, she grabs it and throws it in a nearby fire, it doesn't burn and again she finds it but on the floor behind her.
"You can't get rid of me, I know this is a heavy burden to bear, but you're noble, would you rather anyone else have this curse?"
Iroha grabs the sword and puts it back around her waist. "Fine. I'll help you, just know. I don't need your help." She says while walking away from the empty kingdom, "Now that's the spirit!"Iroha grabs her bow and hops on a horse.

The next couple years would be spent by Iroha taking down another 4 kingdoms all the while helping Ayame.
Iroha would vanish and Ayame would reap more souls in the Oeyama Mountains.
The two developed a relationship not of enemies nor Allies, but as two who couldn't live without the other, to which they were both grateful.
