"A-Are you serious?!" Kronii shouts while staring into the arena with a bead of sweat rolling down her face, "THAT WAS SICK!!" Laplus says as she jolts form her chair. "S-She had something like hidden this entire time...?" Fauna asks nervously.
"There's no way Mori survived that, R-Right?"
Kiara hears a low rumble and looks below her feet to see a small hole expelling gas and it ignited but she manages to dodge before she gets hit by the wave. She hears deeper growing whistling and looks to the sky to see rocks blasted upward falling down to her and she rolls out of the way of them. She looks around and notices a dark smoke, "Tch...". She hears more rumbling and the mountain next to her has a landslide.
She faces it with no fear and unleashes a pulse, dissipating the smoke, revealing Calli sliding down the mountain with her Scythe, smiling.
Kiara stares back with a serious look and notices a chunk of Calli's ribs have been ripped to shreds. Her arm scorched to muscle and bone. A tear drops Kiara's face and her own wounds begin to heal.
Calli reaches the bottom and Kiara simply raises her shield and parries Calli's strike nonchalantly with a blank expression. Calli strikes again but Kiara Blitz' her and kicks her away. Kiara raises her hand and hundreds of beams fly upward and fly to Calli who smacks them out of the way with her scythe. Kiara continues the flurry and Calli continues the defense. More tears drop down Kiara's face and evaporate on the ground, "JUST GO DOWN ALREADY!!" She shouts while shooting a tiny ball of energy at Calli's legs.
Calli doesn't notice as she continues to defend the onslaught of blasts then suddenly falls to her knees. She drops her defense and dozen of beams fly directly at her with the tiny blast now about to hit her in the chest. Kiara's eyes widen and suddenly.
No matter what the situation, she couldn't bare to see this go on any longer.
Calli stares up with her battle scarred face to see Kiara staring straight back down holding her arms out as she takes every blast to her back. Kiara smiles softly and punches Calli in the face, sending her flying back just before the tiny blast she sent expands behind her and envelopes her.
Mori sits up and stares at Kiara as the blast fades and the onslaught still hasn't finished. She thinks to herself for a second and looks back to Kiara while grabbing her scythe. Kiara continues to tank her own attacks and her legs begin to wobble. Finally she falls forward, but...
Calli catches her and surrounds the two with her skeletal armor. Kiara opens her eyes to see Calli defending her and the blasts finally cease.
Kiara looks to Calli with confusion and Calli just groans. She knocks Kiara off her shoulder and picks up her scythe then points it at Kiara. "OK, NOW STAND UP AND LETS KEEP GOING!!" She shouts desperately, "I COULDN'T LET MY BEST FIGHT END SO SOON, NOW GET UP!!".
Kiara just stares and sighs, "Calli, I know that your lust to fight won't ever been tamed. And you know that even if you win this fight, you'll only want to fight even stronger foes... but if I'm out of the picture... who will you fight?" Kiara says, Calli stares back with widened eyes and contemplates, "This obsession will only take you down a road where you'll be alone forever, and I'm your only way to avoid it. But, this obsession is just hurting those around you, and you're getting a kick out of it... only you... and no matter what neither of us can survive without one another." Kiara says while standing up. "When I was brought to existence in the dimension I come from, there wasn't a thing to do. It was a fiery space of nothing and elders would flap their mighty wings and do nothing, while the children grow to do the same. It was miserable and most of all boring... but then I was conjured to the human realm and met you...! You were funny and strong like me so I could get along with you. It gave me a reason to care about something, and that was a privilege I never had in the realm I came from... without you I'd be just as lost as every other shitty chicken in that dimension..." she continues as she walks closer to Calli. "That's close enough." Calli says boldly as Kiara puts her hands In front of herself. "You can stop fighting, you don't need to listen to that little voice I'm your head saying you're weaker than I am or weaker than anyone. There's no one in this universe that you can't defeat, and there's no one in this universe that wants to defeat you. You took down The Wicked Thanatos, surpassed Hades and The Grim Reaper. The Headless Horseman bows before you and your ambition is stronger than anyones. So, let's just stop this yeah? Let's go home, have some dinner, that wine you left out shouldn't be too warm yet..."
Calli closes her eyes and contemplates even more
"I don't care... N-Now get your weapons... and LETS KEEP GOING!!" Calli says as she raises her scythe and swings it. She slices through Kiaras stomach and Kiara screams. Blood splatters on Calli and she stares, but without a smile. She swings again and slices down on her chest, then to her arm, and her legs. She keeps swinging and swinging but Kiara continues to stand while her tears rapidly heal her wounds. "D-DAMN YOU...!
GO DOWN ALREADY!!" Calli shouts continuing to slice through Kiara repeatedly. "THEN WHY DONT YOU SLICE MY HEAD OFF!?" Kiara shouts back. Calli hesitates for a second and Kiara instantly turns her body around and rams her heel into Calli's chin. Calli drops her scythe and falls back. Kiara lowers her leg and stands straight waking to Calli as her wounds begin to heal. Kiara grabs Calli's scythe and hurls it as hard as she can away from the two. She grabs Calli's hand and lifts her to feet then hugs her, "Let's go home... okay?" Kiara says, Calli sheds a tear, "Okay...". Calli and Kiara take a step back and look into the sky, "I forfeit." Calli says boldly with a smile while supporting Kiara and Kiara supports her. The two look at each other and raise their fists into the air as they're transported back to the arena. Humanity cheers as the gods stare in disappointment.
