My hands were sweating and the fact that they were in Hayes' just made it worse. I glanced anxiously at the clock and adjusted the collar of my shirt.

"Oi, Lillie, don't be nervous. You'll be fine, I promise," Hayes reassured me, squeezing my hand gently before paying attention to the teacher as she read out the next name of the speaker.

It was presentation day- which meant I had to say my speech. In front of the entire class. I guess the easiest way to put it was: I didn't want to. Not one part of me wanted to do this.

Hayes and I had been going out for only two weeks now and holding hands for only one. That's about all we've done. If Hayes hadn't of told his friend Cory (who then proceeded to tell the rest of the damn school), nobody would have been able to tell we're together. Our hands were joined under the table- not on top- and we hardly speak to each other outside of class. But you wouldn't expect us to; he's the popular blue-eyed boy and I'm the nerdy brown-eyed reject. Yet here we are: together. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I should end it or not. What if I made the wrong choice?

Everywhere I go in the school I seem to attract attention nowadays. And with that attention comes hate. I get teased by the boys who think they're tougher than Hayes (yet they all have the same habit of shutting up when he interferes) , I get ignored by the people I used to hang out with (they have this crazy idea that I think I'm better than them) and I get dirty looks by the jealous girls who Hayes won't even look at.

"And next up is Lillie," my teacher called, causing me to immediately drop Hayes' hand and stumble out of my chair. Unfortunately I forgot to get my essay so I had to awkwardly make my way back, pick it up quickly and walk back. I not-so-slyly coughed on the way just in case my voice was croaky and once again fixed my collar.

Hayes gave me a quick thumbs up, which snapped me out of my daydreaming state and reminded me to begin reding.

"Go on Lillie!" Said someone, probably Alfie, in a mocking tone.

"Yeah, come on Lillie! You can read can't you?" Said a girl, her voice was filled with sarcasm.

"Hey! Can you guys just shut up and let her speak please?" Hayes shouted, creating silence throughout the room. I smiled timidly and he signalled for me to start. I took a deep breath before commencing to speak...

"Aww little tough guy stood up for his ugly-ass girlfriend," someone whispered, making the people around giggle. I hid my face with my hair, looking at the teacher but she just rolled her eyes and told me to start.

"Lillie is not ugly! And of course I'm going to defend her, I'm not a fucking wimp like you!" Hayes shouted back. The class gasped and the teacher spun round with a shocked expression on her face.

"Hayes Grier! Do not use that filthy language in my classroom!" The teacher screamed from beside me. I flinched away at the sound of her loud voice and tried to focus on my presentation. "Lillie please carry on my dear," she said, patting me on the shoulder. Nodding, I began once again.

After I had finished and the class had finished the compulsory clapping, I went back to my seat next to my gleaming boyfriend. He welcomed me with a high five and I laughed in return before eagerly grabbing his hand.

Yeah... I think I made the right choice.

Question: what's been your favourite imagine of mine so far?

Answer: my favourite one to write was probably locker notes because it was just different! x
