Hayes and I were in the park. Yes, in the park. It wasn't the best of places and the kiss wasn't the best but it was perfect and I will always remember it. You see, it wasn't only my first kiss with hayes but my first with anybody. I was extremely nervous that I was going to screw something up- and I did.

We were walking- side by side- and I knew that it was inevitable. I knew it was going to happen. We stopped because there was a group of squirrels but they ran away when we came too close. Hayes laughed and turned round to face me. He leant forward and gently held my face with one hand. That was it. I couldn't turn around and I really wanted to kiss him. His lips looked perfect and I just wanted to hold him but I was so scared.

As he leant in I went on tip toes as I was too small to reach him. I closed my eyes-like I had seen in the movies- but I guess I closed them too soon because I realised that I had no idea where his lips were. I head butted him.

I felt my face burn and I turned away. I felt a sudden urge to run and leave him; I didn't think I would be able to face hayes again. I was so embarrassed and I don't really know what I expected Hayes to do but I was pleased with what he chose.

"Oh Y/n you flop," he laughed, tapping my shoulder to make me turn around to face him again.

"I'm so sorry Hayes. I screwed it up," I said sighing and looking at the floor. He laughed again.

"No you didn't Y/n! Let's try again," he said and with that he lifted my chin up and very softly pecked me on the lips. He went to pull away but I wouldn't let him. I let my lips linger on his and I wrapped my arms around his neck. It was perfect.

When we finally stopped he asked me,"so how was that?" I just smiled and kissed him once on the cheek.

"Hey Y/n?

"Yes?"

"You're such a midget!" He exclaimed, patting my head. I wriggled and gave him an annoyed expression. He always made jokes about how small I am but I love it. It's our thing and I hope we have more moments like that.
