*Your POV*
Your hair looks cute
-?
This was the first note I got. They started off at the beginning of the school year and I kind of just assumed it was some sort of prank and it would stop after a few weeks. But four months down the line and I still get one everyday.
Your smile is beautiful
-?
Each morning I will arrive at school and open up my locker to find another note. I once tried getting to school early to try and catch who did it but I was too late.
Your laugh leaves me speechless
-?
So I figured that whoever it was must do it in the afternoon after school. So I stayed until 6:30 but still nobody came to my locker. I was as confused as ever. I just wanted to know who it was.
You always seem so happy... I hope one day I can be the reason
-?
I used to have a theory that the stranger had mistaken my locker for somebody else's. I thought about not doing anything about it but guilt soon flooded me when I realised that if I was correct, somebody else could be receiving all these nice messages. So I left a note for the person to read:
Um... I think you've got the wrong person...
But they just replied with another note:
No Y/N, the notes are for you ;)
-?
I soon apologised and thanked them in another note. I thought they would stop after that but- fortunately- they didn't.
I love your handwriting, it's really neat
-?
Coming up to the fifth month since the messages began, I grew desperate to know who the person was sending them. I checked everybody's handwriting in my classes- I even got them to write question marks. But none of them matched..
You checked peoples handwriting today... I'm guessing you want to know who I am?
-?
I grew hopeful at this note and ripped a page from my notebook. Using my chewed up pen I wrote:
Yes! Please tell me!!
But they didn't respond for another two weeks:
I've been thinking and I decided I should tell you in person...
I gasped and suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see my best friend hayes staring back at me.
"What's that Y/n?" He asked, smiling and motioning to the piece of paper.
"Um.... Nothing." I replied quickly, hiding the note in my pocket.
"Ok... Anyway we had to do this thing in history where we researched where our families come from and stuff like that," he said, I sighed in relief as he changed the subject.
"Why?" I asked.
"To find out who we are. And then we had to tell the other people about who we are. Can I tell you?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. I nodded, confused at the randomness of this conversation.
"Well I kind of wrote it on my hand..."
"Just show me. It can't be anything too shocking- I'm your best friend. I know everything about you. Just show me who you are," I replied. He nodded and held out his hand for me to see. I gasped loudly and stared at him in disbelief. On his hand there was two pieces of punctuation:
