New student (part 4)

*Hayes POV*

"You actually came!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air at the sight of Y/n as she walked to meet me from her mum's car.

"Yeah, I'm surprised myself," she replied, raising an eyebrow, "but to be honest I mostly came because my mum found out about it and forced me to come."

"How did she find out?" I asked her, confused since her family had only just moved to the town and hadn't really had time to make friends- so it's not as if somebody else could have told her?

"Well because I told her about it," she shrugged in response.

"Oh I see! So you're talking about me to your mum now?" I said, wiggling my eyebrows which caused her to giggle and turn away. Which I'm glad she did because she would have seen my reaction when she followed up with: "maybe you were mentioned..."
If she had seen the level of excitement on my face at that moment, I would definitely blown my cover of acting cool.

"You look amazing by the way- your dress looks really good on you," I told her, proud that I finally said it after half an hour of encouraging myself. I was afraid that she wouldn't react very well and I would scare her off but well... I didn't.

"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself." I smiled at her response and got one in return soon after, which caused me to smile even wider because wow she was beautiful when she smiled.

"I didn't take you as a dress person?" I said, more like a question than a statement.

"Yeah well my mum made me wear it and she's my lift home so I wasn't exactly going to say no."

I laughed and so did she. During the moment a piece of her hair fell into her face so she stopped to pull it away. However, she couldn't quite grab it so I thought I would help.

"Here," I told her, reaching just below her eye and placing the loose strand back behind her ear. I lingered my hand there for a while until she fidgeted and I became aware that I had just made the situation quite awkward.

"Hey Hayes?" She asked.

"Yes Y/n?"

"You were right."

"What about?"

"You only needed one chance."

And suddenly her lips were on mine and I had done what I hoped to do since the first time she walked into class: I had made her mine.

AN: Guys I actually want to say thank you to everyone that requested ideas!! Please carry on doing that and I will get some done that I like but I thought I would finish this series first!

Also I will not be doing a second part to flashback even thought it was requested since I never intended to do it and I wanted the ending to impact you that way- not just to lead you on to another story.
