Chapter 29- Old Feelings

Jughead's POV...

A couple weeks later...

Valentine's Day is literally in two days.

I've been planning an amazing day for Veronica, so she knows that I care and love her so much. I've been trying my hardest to show her how much I love her.

I even introduced her to my sister.

No one has met my sister, mainly because she lived so far. But also because I knew that she would have mixed opinions.

I knew she'd have something to say about Betty and at the time I would've felt bad knowing my sister doesn't like my girlfriend. Now that everything has been exposed I wouldn't have felt bad one bit.

Anyways back to Veronica.

The whole day is going to be dedicated to her starting from the morning to the late hours of the night.

I just hope she will accept it and follow along with everything. She can be quite stubborn and she also hates surprises. I'm a little worried she'll feel awkward about everything and not enjoy the day.

Luckily it's on Sunday, so I have time to fix any little discrepancies in my plan.

I'm actually on my way to pick her up right now, we're going to the movie theatre. I don't even know what we're watching, since Cheryl picked out the movie.

Ronnie was waiting for me outside and I couldn't help but stare at her gorgeous self. She's wearing a white tank top, a black mini skirt, and mary janes with ankle high white socks. It's every different from her normal style, but I loved it on her.

"You look amazing" I open the door for her.

"Thank you" she blushes and quickly slides into the seat.

I make my way back to my side and start headed towards the movie theatre. On the way Veronica and I talked about Valentine's Day. She told me her plans were to sleep and eat her body weight in ice cream. Little did she know that I would be changing her plans juristically.

We got to the movie theatre fairly quick and found the group almost immediately.

"Hey guys" we greet them with hugs.

"Hey" they hugs us back.

"Ronnie your outfit is so cute!" Cheryl makes her do and spin and Veronica laughs lightly.

"So is yours!" She smiles and I watch their interaction.

"You think she'll be happy with my surprise?" I ask Toni who is also watching them talk.

"Yeah. I mean I know she hates surprises but this one is a amazing" she pats my back and I smile.

"Okay let's get popcorn and head into the movie, it's starting soon" Kevin says and we all head to the concession stand.

While we were getting our snacks I could tell the guy at the counter was checking Veronica out. His eyes were all over her body and that made me mad.

I'm not the jealous type but damn Veronica just brings out that side of me.

I wrap my arms around her waist and she looks up and me with a confused smile. I just kiss the top of her head and she blushes. The guy got the memo though and continued to do his job, without eye fucking her.

"Jealousy jealousy" Cheryl whispers in my ear after she takes a picture of Veronica and I. I shake my head, even though she was right.

Finally after getting out food we headed over to the movie room. I have yet to know what movie we're watching. It doesn't seem like I'll find out until it starts.

I think they might have remodeled the theatre, because instead or regular red movie seats they have recliner chairs. There's two next to each other and each group has some distance in between. Close to the back were bigger recliner chairs that could hold two people.

I let Veronica choose where we sat and she chose the two person chair. I luckily had a blanket in the back and brought it with me.

Why?

It's really cold in the theatre and even worse in the movie rooms.

I put the blanket on both of us and she smiles at me thankful. I could tell she would be cold with that outfit on. If she's still cold I could definitely give her my hoodie. It'll be added to the many that she already has of mine.

Once the movie starts the theatre gets quite and I see that we're watching Smile. It's a scary movie and I'm surprised Cheryl picked it. Usually she hates scary movies and refuses to watch them, because they give her bad vibes.

As the movie progressed many people screamed at the jump scares. Veronica hid her face in my chest at the eery parts right before the jump scares. I thought it was so cute. She relied on me for protection, even though nothing could get her through the screen.

Once the movie was done we all realized that we were hungry and headed over to Pop's for some dinner.

"It really wasn't my fault though! Kev you have to back me up" Veronica looks to Kevin for help.

"It's true it was all Betty's idea, she told me everything" Kevin says and everyone shakes their heads.

"So she really made you record him?" Toni asks.

"That was just part of the plan. I however wasn't expecting the whole black wig, lingerie get up. I thought we were only dressing up in bathing suits. Then when she started referring to herself as Polly and Chuck as Jason I knew something was up. I just didn't bring it that night, because I don't think she processed it herself" Ronnie explains.

"Wait, you're telling me the black wig outfit was used before?" I ask surprised.

"Yup! She used it on Chuck, then used it on you at lodge lodge" she pats my shoulder.

As if my memories couldn't get anymore tainted with Betty a new one does.

"That sick" Fangs shakes his head.

"Yeah" everyone agrees.

We finish our meals and quickly pay, then start headed home. I was quite tired for some reason and needed sleep as soon as possible.

"Jug you're really tired, why don't you stay over?" Veronica suggests and usually I would tell her it's fine, but tonight I'm too tired to protest.

"Okay" I follow her upstairs and head into the apartment. From there I take a shower and change into a pair of pajamas I had left here. "Alright I'm headed to the guest bedroom" I tell her, but she stops me.

"You know you don't have to sleep there if you don't want to. You could always sleep here with me like old times" she says and I was slightly taken aback by her forwardness.

"You sure?" I ask.

"Positive" she nods and pats the side next to her.

I hop into bed and she smiles then turns over on her side.

"Night Ronnie" I say.

"Night jug" she replies.

After 10 minutes I could tell that Ronnie was still awake and I was in and out of sleep. I figured I could help her by playing with her hair. It's always something that makes her fall asleep, even when she isn't tired.

I turn over on my right side and began gently raking my fingers through her hair. She turns over and cuddles into my chest. Just a few minutes after massaging her head she was fast asleep. She always looks so peaceful and cute while she's sleeping. I placed a small kiss on her forehead and closed my eyes.

I fell asleep shortly after and it was the best sleep I had gotten in months.

Veronica's sleep POV...

Ughhh those old feelings are coming back.

Well... technically they never left, I just ignored them.

What am I going to do?

Lord help me.
