You couldn't believe that you had figured out how to do magic. You also couldn't believe that Luz had also learned it in the exact same way. Maybe there was only a certain way to do magic as a human, but you both had figured it out.
"What if there's more!" You squealed to Hunter.
"That would be cool." He stated blatantly with his head in a book, not paying attention to you.
"Ok. What'ch reading?" You questioned, hanging upside down off the side of his bed.
"Oh uh-" He was sitting at his desk reading a big looking book. He quickly looked at the cover, reading it aloud. "Beginners guide to covens" He stated.
You had gotten up and creeped your way over to him as he checked. You jumped up from behind his chair and leaned on the back rest part.
He flew out of the chair onto the floor, throwing the book into the air. You catch it mid-air and realize that there was a Good Witch Azura book inside the one it appeared to be to make it look like he wasn't reading it.
"umhm" You say pulling the book out and waving it around.
"uhhhh, how'd that get there???" He wasn't convincing you. "OK, fine I was reading that dumb Azura book! But it doesn't make any since! It doesn't explain Azura's back story at all! It just starts off like we should already know her life timeline and how she met all these other characters!" He huffed.
"Uh, well-yeah duh. This is book four!" You argued pointing at the cover.
". . . well, how was I suppose to know there were more!" He hooted crossing his arms.
"Maybe ask to barrow my stuff so I could get you the right one to start with?" You suggested, grabbing your bag and pulling out book one.
"Oh." He said looking down with embarrassment.
You start to gestor to give him the book when you devised a small plan. Hunter laid with his back on the floor, leaning on his elbows behind him.
He looked at you in suspicion to your shenanigans.
"I will let you read this. . .BUT, first you must help me learn another picture- drawing- sign- thing." You stop in-between words trying to find the perfect title for your magic. You look at the book, held firmly in your grasp. Then to Hunter, who was trying to see if you were trying to mess with him.
"You mean, if I help you with learning those picture glyph things, you'll let me read the dumb books?" he asked
"Yes, but you also have to stop calling these books dumb. Your not impressing anyone. These books are my life and I will have no hurtful criticism towards them in my presents" You remark, continuing to wave the book around.
"Ok, fine. But you know this is like a win- win for me because I can use those glyphs too, right" He added.
"I know. I'm just nice" You state. "Plus, I like that. 'Glyphs'. The name, it's nice and short and easy to remember. I mean compared to my 'picture- drawing- sign- things' as a name.
"heh, yeah it is easier" He chuckled.
You both grabbed a bite to eat and made your way down to that arena area. On your way you both stopped by the library to attempt finding some type of book on these glyphs. You snatched up anything that might be of help and went on your way.
Hunter sat down with a stack of books and flipped one open. You sit with him and start reading as well. You both absorb yourselves in the knowledge, exchanging notes and comments about things as you went along.
You read for a long while until you eventually got bored and flopped back, on the ground.
You sighed a bunch trying to get him to notice you.
