The Boy In Gold (Hunter x Reader)

Morning

"Hunter. What a cute name." You said to Hunter.

"Well y/n's pretty cute too ya'kown." He continued. "Your pretty cute yourself too."

He placed his hand on you cheek and winked at you. You smirked and turned you head to meet his gaze. You dove into his bright shimmering eyes. You blushed and started to lean in. He did the same and just for a moment you were going to feel his lips on yours-

"Aah!" You screech a bit and sat up feeling sweaty and heated on your face and palms.

You look over to see Hunter curled on his sleeping bag with his knees to his chest staring at you.

"Ooooohhh, hhhheeeeyyyyyyyy" He said trying to act natural. "You're up. I mean, same here, I uh, just got up right before you, hehe." His voice did that lying thing again.

"Uhuh. Kaaayyy" You didn't believe him. You sat up straighter in you cocoon and stared at his face. You tilted you head and examined his face. He clearly didn't just wake up since his eyebags had gotten bigger. You didn't notice that you were subconsciously scooting closer to him until blush spread across his face like wildfire.

"Oh, sorry." You apologized as you saw his face scrunch up.

"Oh, your fine." Hunter bashfully looking back at you as you sat there, being so cough off guard that you couldn't move. You both just looked at each other, not saying a word while sitting inches apart. Your faces were burning with color and you didn't know what to do. 'Why am I so scared right now' you pondered.

"Oh, uh sorry" You broke the silence and quickly stood up and tuned around. "again"

"Your fine" He turned his head and tried to calm down. He was confused. He hadn't felt this way with anyone before and it was, kind of nice but also scary. "Um, well want breakfast?"

"Um, sure" You replied turning around to see him walking towards his dresser. He was wearing pajamas right now. A black shirt that was ripped at the bottom and these baggy blue pants (Like Luz's PJ pants) with little red birds. He grabbed his uniform without the mask and cape from his closet and started to take his shirt off.

"Wowowowo!" You yelled turning around and covering your eyes.

"What? . . .OH MY TITAN! I'm so sorry!" He pulled his shirt back down and widened his eyes in embarrassment. "I didn't realize what I was doing! I'm so so so sorry!"

"No no, your cute-I MEAN COOL! You're cool." You tried to laugh it off.

"Um, I'm just gonna, uh, go do this in the bathroom then. . .sorry again." He quickly added before ducking into the bathroom and slamming the door behind him.

'OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! What the flip just happened here! Did he just try to get dressed in front of me! The heck! I just need to breath. Breath. brea-' BAM! You hear a loud sound come from inside the bathroom. You had a lot of experience with Luz getting hurt, so your reflexes were on point. You sprinted over to the door and pushed it open.

"ARE YOU OK- Oh gosh"

Hunter's POV:

I walked over to my dresser confused to the fullest potential there ever was. I couldn't think straight being flustered like this. Why did she make me feel this way. My face is all hot and sweaty. Her y/e/c eyes were really pretty though. WAIT. NO. STOP THINKING THIS WAY.

I guess I got a little lost in thought because I grabbed my clothes and just started to take my shirt off like she wasn't in there watching me. If she didn't say anything I probity wouldn't have known any better and just completely changed right there. Aaaahhh! So embarrassing!
