Jake's P.O.V.

We are currently searching for any information an "her." We are trying everything we can to find any information on "her" only to come up empty handed.
"One, where do you come from, and two why?" Sam, Mike, and I turn to Emily in confusion by her question.
"Why what? Who is she talking to?" Mike asks just as confused as Sam and I are. Then it dawns on me as to who she's talking to.
"She's probably talking to Dorothy. They're basically friends." I explain. Sam and Mike seem to understand once I had explained.
"That makes more sense now." Mike says. Sometimes I wonder why I'm friends with Mike.
"Sam, search up Diana Thompson." Emily orders. We all look at Emily confused with Sam being the exception since he was typing away on the computer.
"Why are we looking up Diana Thompson?" I ask confused.
"It's 'her' name. Dorothy told me just now." We're all silent.
"Here. I got thirty two matches all in different years. One of these has to be her." Sam says all the sudden.
We go through each file searching for "her" but to no avail we haven't found her. Sam exits another file and moves onto the next which just so happens to be the twenty first file we've opened. A Diana Marie Thompson comes onto the screen next with a photo of her seventy five decades ago. Sam goes to exit the file and move on when suddenly...
"Stop." Emily yells making Sam freeze. It's kind of funny because he's like a statue.
  "That's 'her.' That's Diana Thompson."
"How do you know?" Sam asks.
     "'Her' eyes give her away."
I look at the picture but I'm not sure it's "her." I mean, we don't even know what her face looks like. We continue scanning through "her" file to discover some pretty horrific things "she" did when she had lived. She murdered people, she hurted people legally and illegally, she even went so far as to murder an entire heritage with a gun and a knife.
She got away with everything but no one found out until she died and even then she took secrets to her grave. Some people believed her to be a witch or possessed by a demon. With all the horrible things she did some people didn't even think she was human. Suddenly there is a loud bang from downstairs. We all stop what we are doing and rush downstairs to see what made the loud noise.
"Emily, you and your friends are going to Jakes. I have to take your father to the hospital." Emily's mom says before rushing out the front door. What happened to Emily's father? Is he okay?
After Emily's mom left Sam, Mike, Emily and I head over to my place since none of us wanted to disobey Emily's mother. Who knows what she'll do to us if we don't listen.
"What do you think happened?" Mike asks curiously but also worried at the same time.
"I don't know but we shouldn't talk about it. We don't want to make Emily freak out more than she already is." Sam says. Emily has been pacing back and forth for an hour or two now and she's making me dizzy. Again!
"Emily sit down. You're obviously dizzy and you've already made us dizzy three times. Your dad is going to be fine just sit down and calm down." I order her since I'm getting tired of her pacing. Like really, all she needs is the ears and she'll be a rabbit.
"I'm calm. I'm just trying to distract myself. Yeah, I'm distracting myself." Emily says. I think Emily's trying to reassure herself more than she is to Mike, Sam, and I. As I continue watching Emily a sudden knock on the door is heard. My mom opens the door and in walks Emily's mom but where's her dad? Shouldn't he be with her?
"Mom, where's dad?" Emily asks her mother.
"Your father is very sick right now. The doctor thought it would be best if your dad stayed in the hospital for awhile so they could run some test." Emily sat on the couch silently not moving a single muscle. She barely even blinked which is freaking me out. One minute Emily was moving like a rabbit and the next she isn't moving at all. Even though Emily doesn't have a close relationship with her father like she does with her mother, she still cares a lot for him.
"Emily, dear, are you alright?" Emily doesn't respond to her mother.
"Emily." I call out her name as I cautiously stalk towards her. I gently put my hand on her shoulder so she doesn't freak out.
"Are you okay?" Emily nods her head as a response to my question.
"I just want to go home right now." Emily whispers softly. She slowly rises from the couch and drags herself to the door. Without looking back, Emily silently leaves closing the door behind her.
"I'm sorry but I should to take her home. Make sure she's okay." Emily's mom says before opening the door and following after her daughter closing the door behind her.
I hope Emily is okay. She didn't seem to be fine when she left. She looked sad, broken, depressed. If anything, she looked as if she just lost someone she cared for and died repeatedly. Over, and over, and over again.
"She's going to be alright, right mom?" I ask my mom, concerned for Emily.
"She'll be fine, just give her some time to take everything in and just be there for her. She's gonna need your boys support." I look back at the door after Emily.
I really hope Emily's okay. My mom and I drop Mike and Sam off at their houses since it's getting really late. Once my mom and I got home I went straight to bed anticipating tomorrow. The night went and the next morning came. I get ready for school in hopes that Emily is okay and because it's Friday. When I arrive at school I wait for Emily so I can check up on her. I'm standing outside for at least ten minutes when Emily finally arrives. Emily looks exhausted and pretty upset. She doesn't look like her usual preppy happy self.
"Emily, are you okay?" She nods in response not saying a word. Once Emily and I are inside, Emily hugs me closing her eyes in the process of doing so with her head against my chest. I hug her back trying to comfort her but also confused as to why she's hugging me as we stand in the hallway as some other kids watch us.
"He's really sick and the doctors have no clue as to why." Emily mumbles. My eyes soften in sympathy for her.
"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll figure it out. You just got to give them time." I continue to hold Emily as we continue to stand in the hallway as I wait for her to calm down. Once her breathing begins to slow down I know she's calm.
"We should head to class now, before we get in trouble." I softly tell Emily. She pulls away slowly and nods her head in agreement as she wipes the tears away from her eyes.
We silently walk to class as I watch Emily closely noticing that she's trying to fight to stay awake. This can't be good. She must not have gotten any sleep last night. I'll talk to her about this later but right now I need to figure out what we're gonna do about Cole and "her."
