Jake's P.O.V.

I'm confused right now. Emily's mom believes Emily when she says she sees people that are dead and Emily's dad doesn't. Why doesn't he believe her? This isn't only confusing it's weird. Besides that does anyone know what twelve times seven is? No. Okay I'll just ask Emily. She'll most likely know, she's smart. To catch you up I'm in Mrs. Kat's class going over multiplication.
"Psst. Emily." I whisper trying not to get caught by Mrs. Kat.
"What?" She quietly asks turning to me.
     "What's twelve times seven?"
"Seriously? It's eighty four, use a calculator. It exists for a reason." Emily says.
"Yeah but you're way smarter than a calculator." Emily blushes and turns back to her work.
Later on during lunch Emily, Sam, Mike, and I quietly talk, well more like have discussion, about "her." We know it's safe since everyone is chatting loudly. We told Sam and Mike about Dorothy and "her" and they believed every word we say, but as we are talking Sam and Mike seem to know something that Emily and I don't.
"Emily, Jake... Yesterday Mike and I were hanging out after school since you two weren't there and we overheard a conversation we were most likely not supposed to." Sam says.
"What was the conversation about?" I ask.
"Cole was talking to 'her' about taking everyone's soul, only she isn't powerful enough yet but she's getting stronger everyday that we let pass by." Mike explains.
I'm pretty sure my face paled because I could feel the color drane from my face and I lose my hearing. I look at Emily and she looks uneasy. I would never have guessed Cole was working with "her." Slowly I begin to gain my hearing back.
"Jake." I hear someone say softly.
     "Jake."
"Jake." The voice begins getting louder.
     "Jake."
"Jake!" I hear someone yell. I turn to Emily with a confused look.
     "Huh?"
"You zoned out for five, maybe ten, minutes."
"Sorry. I just can't believe Cole is working with 'her.' If I didn't like him before I definitely don't like him now."
     "You and me both."
"All." Sams says jumping in. I turn to him with an annoyed look.
     "Yeah, we're still hear."
We all burst out laughing because of how Mike said it. The bell suddenly rings signaling that lunch is over. We all hurried to Mrs.Kat's class but not before agreeing to hangout after school.
