Rapunzel POV:

You can do this Rapunzel. Just hit dial. My finger hovers over the 'call Jack' button. I take a deep breath and call him. It rings twice when he picks up.

"Yeah?" He asks through the phone.

I can't do this.

"Hey Jack." I say forcefully cheerful.

"Oh hey Punz! Hey do we still have our movie date tonight?" he asks clearly extremely happy. I take a deep breath.

"Umm, about that, you see there has been some sort of complication about that." I say skirting around my words.

"What do you mean?" He sounded concerned. I take another deep breath.

"If you had to, would you choose to do whats best for your people, even if it means being unhappy?" I ask biting my lip.

"Umm I guess? Punzie whats all this about?"

"Umm..." I say biting my lip.

"Punzie? Whats going on? You can tell me." He says worried.

I take another huge breath and let it all out.

"Okay so maybe my mum and dad decided it would be a good idea to give my hand away in marriage because they are idiots and I may or may not be marrying your best friend in a week and the told me all yesterday and I didnt know how to tell you and Im forbidden to leave my room and I don't know what to do." I say really fast with one breath. I take a deep breath. I don't hear a response from Jack and the line goes dead.

Hiccup POV:

Please don't kill me. Please don't kill Punz. Please don't kill me.

The phone keeps ringing. Merida finally picks up.

"Hey Mer." I say nervously

"Hey Hiccup." She says in her beautiful accent.

"Umm Mer? I may have some bad news..."

"What is it Hiccup?" She sounded concerned.

"umm, well its kinda hard to explain." I say already dreading telling her.

"Hiccup, you know you can tell me anything."

"Umm, I might be engaged..."

"You're joking right?"

"N-No, my father thought it would be a good idea to marry me to another kingdom so it would help both..."

"Which kingdom?" She asks slightly angry.

"Corona." I murmur quietly. The line goes dead.
