THE TWO teens were sitting side by side on one of the couches in the compound's living room. On the couch in front of them sit Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, looking equally as uncomfortable. Both men had their arms crossed and stares between themselves and at the teens like disappointed parents.

"So.. how long has this been going on," Victoria's father asks as he points his finger between the two of them. They glance between each other, silently choosing who was on the chopping block and had to speak up.

Peter was the unfortunate one. He awkwardly scratches his neck and keeps his eyes concentrated on his feet. "Uh.. a while." He coughs. Peter wanted to divert the attention away from the subject, but considering this meeting was purely to discuss their relationship he felt his chances were slim. "About five months."

Steve scoffs in response and shakes his head. "Five months.. and we had no clue."

But then there were Nat and Clint passing by the door and catching those words on their way to the training room. Of course, Nat couldn't resist the gloating and shouts that they had already noticed it, calling him 'Captain Obvious'.

Both Victoria and Peter wanted to die in shame and have the ground swallow them up.

Tony clears his throat awkwardly. Even he did not know how to react to this. Though he did not want to admit to it out loud, he cared a great deal for Peter. He liked it when the boy stayed over at the Compound or his house with Pepper and spent the entire night in the lab together. He enjoyed watching his progress or even coming with things he himself had not thought about yet.

He talked with Pepper about his feelings towards Peter and she bluntly told him that he was like a father figure for the young Spider-Man. Tony hadn't actually told Peter yet that he felt like he was sort of his surrogate son, but here he was acting all fatherly about the boy dating another girl.

A girl who tried to murder him not so long ago, but that was besides the point.

But Tony's eyes had opened when he heard of their relationship. He now recognises the little looks they throw in each other's direction. In fact, he never noticed how much Victoria secretly smiled at him because Peter was literally all big grins and goofy smiles. They actually seemed great together with a lot of mutual respect and communication.

Now it was just their job to get Captain Dad to see it too.

Steve was still a bit hesitant, even a little sulking. "Well, I don't like it. You two are barely sixteen and in no way capable of the emotional maturity it takes to start a relationship. Nuh-huh," he remarks. The man shakes his head back in forth and holds his hand up in a stop-sign.

Victoria leans back with crossed arms, rolling her eyes exasperatedly. "Dad, we are sixteen, not idiots. Besides, you think that people who have seen as much as us have more emotional maturity, as you like to call it, than the average teenager."
