Luke woke up, discombobulated, not knowing exactly where he was. He went to stretch, but felt something holding him down.
Rayha.
She was there right beside him on the park bench.
She was one of the only people that didn't leave him vulnerable when he had an attack. She cared.
Luke sighed, he knew she stayed and may be nicer to him because of his attack. Not because she wanted to, because she felt obliged to.
She wasn't obliged to anything.Rayha wasn't doing this out of pity. Of course they only knew each other from their child hoods, but there was something there. It wasn't just a child hood friendship, it was everlasting.
Luke gently lifted her arm up and slipped from under it. He slowly crept away. He didn't want her to see him.
He didn't want to hurt her again.
Even as a child, do you know how hard it is for your best friend to look in your eye and say they hate you? He didn't want that again. The pain, not his pain, but hers.Rayha awoke from her slumber. Completely unaware of the fact that she was in a park bench without Luke. Once she did, her eyes nearly burst out of her head as she shoots forward.
"Luke? Luke?" She calls out. Luke can hear her, he didn't get that far.. He kept falling
. He heard actual worry, actual sadness in her voice. And he can't deny the happiness he felt when he heard the worry In her voice. He thought she cared. He truly did.
But the voices didn't.And that's when all hell broke loose.
