𝐉𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐡𝐞'𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬. In the time Nicole and I had been at dinner the rain had subsided and the sky cleared in true Cousins fashion. Jeremiah knocked on the door at 9:08 and I hugged Nicole, asking one more time to make sure she'd be okay. She laughed and reassured me that she would be fine.

I went to the front door and opened it before immediately being pulled into a hug. I hugged him back and Jer held me closer. "I'm so fucking sorry Kendall," he whispered into my hair and I didn't say anything. This boy had always had a way to make me feel safer than anyone could. I think no matter what happens a part of me will forever long to be exactly where I am right now.

"Beach," I asked as I pulled away enough to look up at him.

"Mhm," he agreed with a grin and picked me up to take me to the car and I laughed.

Jer somehow managed to open the passenger door and set me down in the seat which made me laugh more.

"I got you something," he said once he got in the car and turned it on. "Here," Jer added and reached into the backseat and handed me a little basket. In it was a blanket, salt and vinegar chips, arizona teas, brownies which I assume aren't weed brownies this time, sour patch kids in an aluminum package which I assume are weed this time, a note, and ice cream.

I laughed and he grinned at me, "Jer this is sweet thanks," I said and leaned over to give him a kiss. I was pulled in closer and the kiss was deepened before he broke it.

"I love you angel," he whispered and I smiled.

"I love you more pretty boy," I whispered back and he pulled me in for a quick kiss.

"You want aux," Jer asked and I nodded, taking the cord from his hand which soon gravitated to it's normal spot on my thigh.

I shuffled my Taylor Swift playlist and Don't Blame Me started playing. I laughed and Jer squeezed my thigh which I hate to admit made me feel a certain way. I moved so my feet were on the dash and leaned my head on his arm. Somehow this boy knew exactly what to do and slid his hand up from my thigh to my hip under my shirt. When I tell you I almost died right there-

"Your hand is cold," I whispered and he grinned.

"Oh I can move it if you want," Jeremiah teased and his fingers grazed the waistband of my shorts making me shiver.

"Mm that's okay," I said and we both laughed a little before the car fell back into nice silence until he broke the silence a few minutes later.

"Babe you know we have to sneak into this beach right," Jer asked and I nodded into his arm.

"Mhm. Just have to hop a fence is all," I replied and he laughed.

"Just hop a fence huh," he repeated sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.

"How many times did we do it last summer," I stated and looked at him with a grin.

"Fair point," he said, looking down at me with a smile. A few minutes later he moved his fingers in circles to bring me out of my light nap, "We're here angel," he whispered and I sat up as he parallel parked on the side of the road.

This beach was a special place. Nobody really knew about it and no one was ever there. Jer and I found it last summer and never told anybody where it is. Some people know that a beach is our special place, but nobody knows which beach. There isn't a parking lot, just a worn out trail of trampled grass from peoples footsteps and a fence lining the side with a door gate that was locked after 8pm.
