CHAPTER 1
I tapped my pencil repeatedly on the shabby, old school desk. Why did American history have to be so boring? Suddenly, I felt overwhelmed with nausea. Then my vision went blurry. Oh no! Not now, please not now!
Despite my begging, the classroom transformed into a park. Then I saw a girl. She was tall and thin with light brown hair and unique almost yellow eyes. I knew this was me right away. Then I saw another person. He was tall like me and built like the great football jock he was. His light blonde hair was slightly messy but still extremely cute. This was Andrew, or Drew as his friends and many girlfriends called him, and I was hopelessly in love with him.
He ran over to me. I smiled, and he smiled back. We talked, but as usual the words didn't go to my ears.
"Jackie!"
The park turned back into the classroom. The clique of popular girls giggled. Mrs. Riley shook her head annoyed. "Jackie can you explain why The War of 1812 happened?"
"Um, well..." I started.
Mrs. Riley rolled her eyes. "Can anyone explain this to Jackie?"
Alex raised his hand. Mrs. Riley pointed her witch nose in his direction and nodded. Alex went into detail about the British ships taking American sailors or whatever, as I processed what had just happened.
This 'day dream' so to speak was similar to other ones. Except they all came true later on. It was just like déjà vu. I wish it would go away and stop haunting me. I am so shy, Alex is my only friend. I never talk to Drew. Even if I want this to happen, I know it wouldn't be the same. I just want one day without any werid visions! One day to be normal and ordinary! One day to fit in, is that too much to ask?

"Jackie. Hey Jacks! You alright?" Alex asked quickly.
"Alex! Alex calm your tits! I'm fine." I replied.
He glared at me. " You really zoned out today. Are you getting enough sleep?"
I slammed my locker shut. Trying to give Alex the hint that I was not in the mood for talk. As smart as he was, Alex kept following me expecting an answer. " Why the hell do you care?" I quickened my pace towards the bus.
" I am your only friend! And friends are supposed to care about each other." Alex stormed to the bus and sat by a freshman girl, obviously letting me know he was pissed off.
Well screw you, I thought. I looked for an empty seat and found one in the back, where the 'cool' kids sat. Oh well at least I have a seat, no thanks to Alex.
Andrew walked on. I couldn't help but stare as he also looked for a seat. Suddenly he was right in front of me. His lips moved to form words. But I couldn't understand them. Before I could ask , Jessica, head cheerleader, homecoming queen, a.k.a. the hottest and bitchiest girl in the school, interrupted me.
"Hey loser! Have fun drooling on your desk in class?" Jessica and her clique laughed like it was the funniest insult ever.
I was about to fire an insult back, when Drew saved me.
"Just leave her alone Jessica." said Andrew as he sat next to me. His fingers brushed mine as he sat. He leaned towards me and I felt queasy, thankfully not like I was going to have another episode. "Don't mind her. She is just a little cranky."
" Uh. Yeah. Thanks." I said a little to softly for him to notice. I looked away. I didn't want my crush to become too noticeable.
When it was Drew's stop I blurted out, " Thanksomuchforhelpingme!"
It took him a second to process what I said. Then he winked and left.
I was in a good mood for the rest of the day.
